Yes and i cringe when i see players playing like that .

the atmosphire tonight was pretty poor i must say, nothing ever got going, we had to width and we could not break down their midfeild, just inept.

People leaving with 15 minns to go was a low point at the match, those are the kind of fans we can do without, I cringe when i think if a player sees that,

i dont know why anybody leaves more than 5 mins before the end even in a shocking game but that said we were piss poor again tonight and we must improve soon, its the red scum on saturday and if we lose to them the confidence levels will start to drop a bit i feel :dunno:

What do the players expect? If they think they can play like that and the fans will be happy about it then they need to wake up. People vote with their feet. I always stay till the end but I dont blame people for leaving early when we play like a Blue square team.

hardcore stay till the end mummys and daddys i suppose have to get little billy home, i get that i guess, but not leaving for the performace, i though we give them that

Can't see why people can't understand why fans are upset. We could have had a result like that last season without throwing all this money around.

Sorry again lad but that's shocking. Blue Square Premier team :frusty:

When did we show signs of a Blue Square Premier team, on occasions we pissed over Bristol City passed them off the park at times, got forward unlike Reading game, created chances unlike Reading game, and most of all we scored unlike Reading game, and we should of scored more tonight, as soon as the match finished Bristol City players ran to Gerken because he kept them in the game. We dominated them, and apart from Maynard they were very poor.

Have to get behind the team even though we lost, keep the faith because tonight's performance was good the midfield can become frustrating at times, but the defence tonight was yet again solid, I know people don't agree with me but St Ledger was good with his heading and his passing in the 2nd half was brilliant. Bristol City scored from a set piece, and an error of judgement by one player, who is now getting slated for his mistake.

Did people slate Mills when he cost us a goal against Madrid, or when he scored an own goal against Rotherham no they didn't, so why slate St Ledger for making a mistake.

It's early days yet, and from what I seen tonight St Ledger deserved a chance and he took it pretty well on his overall performance.

We would have been outplayed by a blue square premier team for half that game quite easily. We simply were not up for it and were clueless going forward and not much better at the back. Two schoolboy errors costing us two goals and the game. Bristol are arguably the worst team in the championship and they had sooo many more chances than us. I havent seen us play that bad since the paulo days.

Sven is a good manager, who has generally brought in good players. Bad result tonight, for sure, but let's show some real support, and not belly ache. Give the team a few more games to settle, and knit together.

Lets put the blame where the blame lays....THE MANAGEMENT AND PLAYING STAFF...if a plumber fooked up a toilet, you wouldn't blame the customer...These people get the best of everything, have you seen the new bus? best owners in the league, best pre season ,best wages, best training facilities.etc..anybody pointing the finger at the fans is letting the real culprits off the hook..

Got to agree, thought we were far better last night than Saturday. Couple of defensive mistakes cost us. But we did play some good passing stuff at times. Nugent terrific again

Did anyone really expect us to win every game? It's pretty much a brand new team. Who expects a team to gel within 3 ga... oh wait, we have so many retards in our support it's unreal, my mistake.

Reading and Bristol City games. Two games, As someone said, 'It's cost them £50 last night to watch the game.' That's a hundred quid. It's alot of money. (Unless your Wymsey)

Going back to the booing bit. I personally don't boo my team, but those who have payed £50 to watch a midweek game, travelled from all over the place, can do what they like. It's their right to boo if the teams shocking like it has been.

Personally it's wrong I think.

I think we've been poor in every game though, we escaped with it against Coventry, and the result 'overshadowed' the performance, cause lets face it. It wasn't much good.

Give Sven time.

PS: And get Yakubu. At least when he played for us, you thought we could score. Last night and Reading you can't see where the goals are going to come from.

What group of morons voted Sven a better England manager than Sir Bobby Robson?

Nobody, the win percentage under Sven was better.

Also, while Italia '90 was the best performance since 1966 and in all probability will remain so for some time, let's not forget Sir Bobby was at the helm for Euro 84 where England failed to qualify and Euro 88 where England lost all three games. Only a reasonable showing at Mexico 86 gave him the chance to have a stab at the Italia 90 tournament his tenure is now famous for.

We forget that England haven't been a true footballing power for a very, very long time. The last time we went to a tournament with the right to expect to do well in my opinion was 1970.

Give Sven / Sousa time ? to do what ? make the gap so unattainable we have no chance of promotion. Face it Sven is NOT going to wave a magic wand he doesn't even know what he is doing now , and that's only after three games and at least five shit signings . Wakey -Wakey .

Looking at some comments tonight im really really pissed off and feel like ranting, but I will try and keep down my tone

Firsty fans will be slating our performance tonight and calling us shite, but I don't agree with that at all we played well tonight we attacked more we made chances, and Nugent played a blinder a huge positive. Overall the players we have and the performances we have put in bar Reading, have been pretty good. We are just lacking penetration in the final third that is our only downfall, we need two strikers in my view but the main thing is that Sven is targeting some, it showed tonight that players like Wellens, King, Nugent can create chances for us, and with natural goalscorers playing for us im sure we will score more goals.

Also on some other threads "fans" have been slating St Ledger, but im going to stick by him tonight and say he played well. 1st half his heading accuracy was top notch, he was picking out Bamba, Konchesky and Peltier with ease and his defending overall against Maynard in particular was fairly good aswell. One thing was his long balls, which were pretty damn shocking in the 1st half, BUT 2nd half he actually cut them out of his game which made us play better in my view. His mistake was very very bad but they happen, Mills made one against Real Madrid, Ball made one against Rotherham they happen so get over it. St Ledger in the 2nd half was much much better than in the 1st, his heading accuracy was still excellent, plus he played the ball out of the defence very well, for idiotic fans who didn't take a blind bit of notice, and just presumed he is shite due to one mistake, must have not seen his passing accuracy in the 2nd half, he was finding the midfielders with perfection in the 2nd half, and in my view that was only a good sign.

People need to calm down and stop getting frustrated, comments and ratings tonight have really peed me off somewhat, these people call themselves fans and due to us losing to the bottom side they just call us shite or rubbish. The goals were unforunate, one was a set piece at least it wasn't due to bad defending or anything, and one was a mistake which happen week in week out. The team isn't bad at all, we just need to buy some strikers then I honestly believe things will look much better.

At least we have got a win on the board, and at least it's only three games in you have to stick by this team because it's a very good one, give them time and let Sven do his business in the transfer market then we will start to win games.

People may call me deluded but frankly I don't give a shit, im sticking by my team and im sticking by St Ledger tonight.

Keep the Faith :scarf:

Love LCFC SEASON TICKET HOLDER!!! ;)

Totally agree, and it was just unfortunate that we conceded a second goal when we were really on top.....lost all impetus at that point, yet if we had scored a second when it was 1-1 on gone on to win....then the threads would have been different today.

If you call, school boy football unfortunate then you really are in for a big surprise. Exactly when were we on top? . If their penalty had gone in we would have folded like a pack of cards, we had a short reprieve and then got what we deserved END OF .

IF the penalty went in,not making excuses we were poor on the night, but we had a10- 15 minute spell in the second half that lead to our equaliser,at that point there was only one team who looked like winning and that was us,as i said soon as St Ledger made that mistake we lost all impetus.

I can't get beyond the dreadful title - please will someone change it.

I'm not plural.

A literate, grammatically-correct thread on Foxestalk?

You've got more chance of seeing Sven lead us to the Champions League... :crylaugh:

I went to the game. We have a great keeper and our back 4 was good. St ledger was very good, passed the ball well, Bamba a bit suspect at times. And Nugent was excellent. NOW for my rant........ the whole midfield was shit FACT fernandes has a nightmare. Gallagher was awful ........ shocking ........shit ....you get my drift. Dyer was errrrrrrr Dyer literally. The formation needs looking at, 442 so we can get a forward PARTNERSHIP not hit uo and hope nugent does the rest alone.

so sorry if anybody read what my cousin put, my account was left logged on.

Ah right, if anyone is feeling negative, frustrated or think that the manager is tactically inept they're not a fan..??

I buy 6 season tickets every year, get ripped off every home game with buying drinks etc from the bar areas, and bought the whole family the new shirts (home and away), and we go to away games when we can.. This alone it seems isn't enough to be a fan..??

Jesus, perhaps I need to smile with glee when we play poorly and the manager doesn't have a clue..??

Wait a second, that you as a football fan want to see the team play and that you pay for season tickets I can understand.

But seriously, who's forcing you to buy drinks at the KP as well as both the home and away shirt for the entire family?

And then for you to go on and rant about your divine rights as a fan just because you spent more money than you have sense?

Do you spot the irony in your statement?

Just because you buy into it, doesn't make you a "better" fan than the other 20'000+ or your "opinion" more valuable.

Because, according to your logic, if I started a family and forced my "wife" to have six kids, I'd be a bigger "fan" than you.

Isn't that a bit self-righteous (and, to an extent, irresponsible regarding the kids)?
