Stig the Lawnmower Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 could be! Better ask 'Tuna' first though ( see Konchesky thread) he'll piss on your chips
gazfox9 Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Early days, but 2 games in and looked good in both.
Nocturnal Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 A Leicester hero in the making I think! Anyone on here get his shirt?
Aeropars Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 From what I have seen he's much better than Peltier. I doubted the signing when made but happy to eat humble pie this time.
Guest shearfox Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Basically what you get from a full back who should still be playing in the prem. Class act.
stix Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Wears his heart on his sleeve(cliche much!) None the less, much improved on last saturday from what i saw today(via stream) Commited,Professional,One of the old skool footballing crew..... ....may even look into getting a Ghana shirt!
Raw Dykes Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Pantsil looks like a great signing so far. Mills was a lot better today, too. Fernandes was great again, as Danns was today - probably due to being played in his natural position. Schmeichel (controversy aside) and Nugent were both very good as they have been from the start. Konchesky wasn't brilliant, but it was his first sub-standard game. From today's performance, I'd say the new signings are really starting to settle in. Hopefully Johnson and Ball will be involved in the match at Bury on Tuesday to get closer to full fitness.
undey Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 The lad in front of me got his shirt, it looked tiny and he said it smelt very sweaty!!!!
anotherharboroughfox Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 The lad in front of me got his shirt, it looked tiny and he said it smelt very sweaty!!!! That's the smell of PASSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wymsey Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Shame he's quite old, but at least (by all means) he has strengthened the RB position, in which we've struggled with for too many past seasons.
themotivator Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 I love his pre match ritual. is that when he stands like this? i may be wrong as to the exact pose. i just remember pointing him out to my GF because he was doing something mega cool. noticed it at the reading game. loved it.
STEVIE B Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Loved the way he got the City fans fired up just prior to kick off. Top stuff !
Jonezy Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 He needs to stop giving the ball away too easily, but defensively he looks solid.
Fox92 Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 I thought alot of players were better today, in particular Mills, and I was impressed with Paintsil. I love it how he came over before kick off and started motivating the fans
bluearmyfox23 Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 I thought alot of players were better today, in particular Mills, and I was impressed with Paintsil. Callabinho Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 That's the smell of PASSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what are you on about?.......It's PASHUUUUUUUUUUUUN and yep he is exactly what we needed to replace Naughton. Steady and knows his position inside out! really will be a key figure for us this season! Ok he needs a clever chant! Fulhams was the" John paintsil m'lord" any ideas?
Bettsy82 Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 I'm always happy to admit when I'm wrong I thought pantsils debut against Bristol city was shocking and I slated him but yesterday his performance was excellent his enthusiasm is infectious and I can see the fans growing to love him looks like another good signing to me.

Pantsil debut was against Reading
Saxondale Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Ruddy good player. One of the best on the field against Reading.
Kenners Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 is that when he stands like this? i may be wrong as to the exact pose. i just remember pointing him out to my GF because he was doing something mega cool. noticed it at the reading game. loved it. Yes thats the one
Trav Le Bleu Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 I like him. Composed and confident on the ball. Even against Reading the poorer parts of his play came from lack of training with the team (his runs, his marking and his passes) rather than things that were more individual skills, such as tackling and running with the ball. Was much better yesterday and I'm sure there's more to come. Peltier beware!
Kenners Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 Pantsil: We Believe In The Fans Defender John Pantsil hopes to find a sea of blue and white behind City when they take on Southampton, the Championship's early pacesetters, this Saturday. After two positive performances on the road at Nottingham Forest and Bury, the Foxes return to King Power Stadium this weekend in search of their first home win, following successive defeats to Reading and Bristol City. There can be few tougher tests at present than Nigel Adkins' recently-promoted Saints, who boast a 100 per cent record from their four games back in the Championship this term. But Pantsil is hoping a united Blue Army can roar the Foxes to victory in their last outing before the September international break. "The fans have been amazing," said the Ghanaian full-back, who has settled into life at King Power Stadium superbly following his summer arrival from Fulham. "I was surprised to see so many of them at the Carling Cup game on Tuesday, there were more than even the home team, and on Saturday I'm sure we'll see a lot more of them in their blue and white. "We're looking forward to it, everyone in the team. We're ready to get our first home win. "We believe in the fans and without them we can't do it, so we want to do this for our supporters. It's important because getting home wins will bring the fans together behind us. "When I'm playing, they're the most important thing for me. They spend money to buy season tickets and we must remember that on the pitch. We'll do every possible to make them happy, as well as ourselves." John Pantsil Pantsil says a win will unite the fans behind the team. The Saints have made an impressive return to the second flight following a two-year exile in League 1, and have already hit 10 goals in their opening four league games. But Pantsil reckons the Foxes' have the firepower to outgun their in-form opponents on Saturday, having scored six times themselves in their last two outings. "They've started well and won all of their four games, but that doesn't worry us because getting three points is all that matters to us right now. It would lift the team," John added. "It's important for us to score more goals. The performance we put into the last game (Tuesday's 4-2 Carling Cup win at Bury) helped the team boost some morale. It showed we can put the ball in the net and that's important for any team." OS
