RobHawk Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 Apparently he's just signed for Coalville Town! Leg -End!
gerrytaggart Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 Always liked Joachim, anyone remember when he was just breaking through to the first team and he was interviewed after a match in which he scored? the interview went something like this... "can you talk us through your goal Julian?" "yeah, well, the ball was bouncing like f..bouncing awkwardly"...hahaha legend!!
Heskey2011 Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 When i was playing for Cosby united under 10's (i think it was) i got most improved player at end of season awards and Joachim was there to hand out the trophies. I remember being dumbstruck and just amazed that he was there, in his city tracksuit, i asked him what was best about playing for city and he said scoring goals and making people happy. Legend love the guy. He signs his name with a heart shape above the i's.... !! Was devastated when he went to Villa
blueharmie Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 was a very good player back in the day, very nippy.
Rich_Sheffield Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 Does he still live "next door to Iwan, in his council flat?" Quality partnership with Iwan Roberts!!!!
MrSpaM Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 Does he still live "next door to Iwan, in his council flat?" Quality partnership with Iwan Roberts!!!! Lived in quite a nice house in Markfield around the corner from my mum and dads i'll have you know along with pretty much the whole city squad at that time, dunno why Markfield was such a city magnet but they all seemed to live there during the O'Neill years
accessory Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 A quality striker who could have been as good as Lineker. But he never quite lived up to his full potential. MON made the right decision in selling him, though it didn't look like that at the time. Julian's move to Villa played a very significant factor in the initial hostility among the fanbase towards MON.
Wymsey Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 Lived in quite a nice house in Markfield. Where abouts do you know, Thornton Lane?
Saxondale Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 Think Muzzy still lives in Markfield. Anybody know where any of the current crop are living out of interest?

Jace Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 http://www.astonvilla.dk/players/past/julian_joachim.htm according to this Joachim returned back to us in 2001, I cant remember this at all I remember Guppy coming back briefly but not Joachim did he play again?
MrSpaM Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 Where abouts do you know, Thornton Lane? Barn Way, Muzzy used to live down the road on Countryman Way as well, and Marshall lived up near the field head hotel, Walsh lived nearby as well, and a couple of the others i cant remember exactly where though. I used to be the paper boy for most of them in markfield around that time. Always remember Muzzy having a kick about with us sometimes when he was out walking his dog near the community center, quality bloke
