Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 What’s an escape goat ? Is it a primitive form of getaway vehicle used by Montenegrin rustlers ? Well that was a damp squid.
stripeyfox Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Well that was a damp squid. Maybe you needed to be more pacific?
Rincewind Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I wonder how the player that replaces Rooney with some people saying it's a waste of time going without him playing or he's the most important player? They are a TEAM so any player coming in should be able or be good enough to fit in. Too much is made of a team falling apart when individual players are left out be it through choice, injury or suspension. The same was said of Beckham. I wonder how other players are affected when they see headlines saying that without one player the team will lose.
accessory Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Ssssh... Don't mention Beckham, in case the forum gets swamped by people wanting to see him brought back..
Super_horns Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Rooney is our best player but also our most unreliable in a way. He hasn't turned up in a major tournament since 2004 so maybe being banned might be a blessing?
panky and our gang Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Let's face it England are crap and will never win anything again . I really resent them playing and ****ing up our league programme , It's been a shit weekend again thanks to them .
Webbo Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Let's face it England are crap and will never win anything again . I really resent them playing and ****ing up our league programme , It's been a shit weekend again thanks to them . We did actually qualify you know.
Webbo Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 As we would have done if Croatia and Russia were in our group this time around. The greedy parasitic FA are already setting up TWO lucrative friendlies over next month's playoff weekend. Despite the fact the players don't give a flying one about playing in either of them, and would rather be at their clubs, the brain-dead fcukwits who flock to Wembley will no doubt ensure two more sell-out crowds. I'm glad there's no City players caught up in this gigantic fraud. There are lots of foreign players in the Prem and our league the leagues have had to be stopped anyway even though England don't need to play in a playoff.
Salieri Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Maybe you needed to be more pacific? Stop being such a pre-madonna.
The Doctor Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 Let's face it England are crap and will never win anything again . I really resent them playing and ****ing up our league programme , It's been a shit weekend again thanks to them . quit your ****ing whining - you've got a fairly decent side, a top manager and qualifying for tournaments on a regular basis (what is it, 2 missed in 20 years?) - just be happy to have that for once rather than demanding more, more, more.
panky and our gang Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 Yes and one trophy since the dawn of football. And not likely to win another . Not whinging just realistic .
The Year Of The Fox Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 The vilification of Rooney has been way OTT. Jamie Redknapp had a go at him in the Sun the next day, among several pundits weighing in. The fact that they are saying him being banned for one maybe two games, could well end our chances next summer before its even kicked off, shows how (supposedly) reliant we are on him. Though last summer we'd have been better off without him. Rooney, as with many of our 'golden generation' have failed to live up to their sky sports awarded 'world class' tag. He's a good player when on his game, not running around like a headless chicken chasing after the ball. Nothing more. So the comments dished out on him by the pundits have been quite unfair. It's not the red card that annoys me, its how he got it. Carroll, Bent, Welbeck amongst others will do just as well as Rooney based on his last few international performances
The Year Of The Fox Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 quit your ****ing whining - you've got a fairly decent side, a top manager and qualifying for tournaments on a regular basis (what is it, 2 missed in 20 years?) - just be happy to have that for once rather than demanding more, more, more. Agree with you. Rather have a fan of another international side, objectively commenting and criticising us rather than an England 'fan' who slags his own side off
purpleronnie Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 We're a poorer side withought rooney but my concerns have always been our midfield. wilshere, parker are all positives but I dont see any real pace there and with the likes of germany and spain with such great pace in their midfield I can see even the lesser teams over powering us in midfield. We tend to be very static and therefore highly predictable.
Bugg Posted 10 October 2011 Posted 10 October 2011 The problem with England is that we seem to lack that spark in midfield, granted Wilshere is getting there but we have no one like Oezil for Germany, Xavi for Spain or Sneijder for Holland. Our problem seems to be that we have a massive amount of grafters (Milner, Parker, Barry etc.) but hardly any flair players who can make something out of nothing. If we were to have a couple of them Combined with our defence and striking options I don't see why we couldn't be challenging for Trophies every tournament.
stripeyfox Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 Stop being such a pre-madonna. That's a mute point...
