LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Anyone know who Watford's 12th man is tomorrow? Better be more consistent than that clown from Sunday. CHRISTOPHER SARGINSON David Benton and Paul Hobday Fourth Official Martin Dexter
Larry_LCFC Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Just did research into him and he has handed out 20 yellows in 8 games this season. Got a feeling its going to be a horrible stop start affair every 2 minutes.

Larry_LCFC Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 All the fouls for the 20 yellows could of been worthy of a yellow card regardless of the ref? Could well be but highly unlikely. 21 is a hell of a lot of bookings in the space of 8 games

Got a feeling its going to be a horrible stop start affair every 2 minutes. That's not that many, only 2 and a half per game on average. There were 34 yellows given over the course of the 12 games last weekend, which is nearly 3 per game.

stockyfox Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Analysing the 30 or so posts on this thread to date, where fans have named their team, it seems we are almost unanimously agreed on: Schmeichel; and Peltier; Sean SL; Sol Bamba and Konchesky for the back four, Of the midfield, opinion is much more divided between Wellens, Fernandes, King and Johnson. Wellens is the most popular choice with 23 votes, Fernandes has 20, Johnson has 18 and King 17. At the sharp end, the choice for Nugent is unanimous, closely followed by Beckford with 27 votes. Vassell is named 15 times so it would seem that Johnson, King and Vassell would be vying for the last two places. Rather surprisingly, perhaps not? Is that there is relatively little support for Yuki Abe and Neil Danns. Indeed, Lloyd Dyer is a fractionally more popular choice. However, Pantsil, Howard and Jeff Schlupp are all popular choices for the Bench if not for the starting XI.

Why do you use that funny font pal?
stockyfox Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Pleased you found it of interest CCF. I reckon this thread has produced a fair range of varied views and opinions and a summary of the overall consensus was a useful way forward. I will be interested to see who's team selection matches in with that chosen by Sven. Re the 'funny font' - when typing a post or reply straight into the website box, my cursor goes beserk. So to get round it, I have to type it into M/S Office Word 2007 which usually defaults at Calibri 11. Then copy it to the website, Click 'Preview', Then I find half the words run straight into one another, So I have to try and correct that then click 'Preview' again, check, and then Post. I've typed this straight into the 'box' and it's behaved itself more or less! Well you did ask! Cheers - and I'm looking at us giving Watford a real thrashing tomorrow!

Bloody hell that does sound complicated! Cheers mate... Good home win tomorrow is needed...
hackneyfox Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 SSL in for Mills. Beckford for Vassel Apart from that I'd play the same team as the last 2 games, see if they can repeat the Derby performance and give them a chance to make up for Brum. I'd never start Dyer (personally I wouldn't even have him on the bench) and what is the point of playing him on the left when he hardly ever whips a ball in.
Wycombe Fox Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 They'll come and 'park the bus' so I think it'll be a close game. City 5 Watford 0

Tielemans63 Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 It'll be interesting to see how we react to Sunday's performance. I'm curious to see how a Nugent / Beckford would work. I'd poss have Darius in the side too as a midfielder who can get out to the wing and give us some width.

lcfc_sam_p Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 When we win tomorrow night we'll be 2 points off second going into another home game.
NewburyFox Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 4 nil win will put us 7th, 2 points off 2nd That's kind of insane given all the stuff that's been posted following the Brum game. UTB!
Guest ttfn Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Got a really bad feeling about tomorrow: 0-1.
Tuna Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 0-1. we'll huff and puff, create half chances. Watford score, 38 minutes Taylor header from a free kick, needless foul. Chorus of boos at half - time. The first chants of Sven out 46 minutes.
EnderbyFox Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 4 nil win will put us 7th, 2 points off 2nd EDIT : my bad, didn't read your post thoroughly!
Happy Fox Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 we get a win and score by an aggregate of lets say 5-0, though I will take a standard 2-0 win

Chorus of boos at half - time. The first chants of Sven out 46 minutes. Dont have nightmares! This is what will really happen: Are you sitting comfortably? Weale huffs and puffs as City create chance after chance. Watford scared after 38 minutes. A tailor-made header from a Fernandes free-kick as Vassell scores two before half time. Chants of 'We want seven' are heard as Beckford scores number six.
