Legend_in_blue Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 He's devoid of an alternative when his little system doesn't work. This is quite worrying considering his stature and experience as a supposed "world-class" manager. If this was anybody else, we'd be getting quite impatient and wanting him out. As it is, he's a nice guy, he's Sven, keep him in.
Libertine Dream Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 If he'll accept move him upstairs, if he won't pay him off and bring in a younger hungrier manager or hughes
lavrentis Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Keep him in, what we don't want is 2007 again and who we gonna get better than Sven
somebum Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Sven out and well away from the club. Now wonder he said he would like to stay 4, 5 years in the summer because no other bugger wants him. Out of interest, do a google search for what Sven said when he joined Notts County and what he said when he came here. Almost identical. 'I could have gone anywhere, its not about the money, this is a big project I am proud to be working here, we are going places, it's not about the money' etc.
cc_star Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 In, dont want to be paying him proportion of £1.5m to look for another job & I firmly believe a manager coming in should be their own man & not a puppet for a 'man upstairs' But anywhere outside top 2 & he should be got rid of immediately as soon as season ends.
LCFC_Kraken Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 If we sack sven, will the dressing room turn?...
Guest MattP Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Hopeless but keep him. If we have to start again wait ntil the summer. Better options and a pre season to build.

Nice to see you failing to mention why Sven left Notts County and that he waived a £2.4m payoff fee, instead opting for two months' wages. Right - Sven is all about the money. Your dislike for the man is so strong, it's unbelievable. Did he have a go at your missus at one point or do you wish he had done so if you had one?
dannythefox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 stick with him till xmas if were not in the top 6 get rid!

Wise up man. He was already known as a rapist of club funds and he played the good cop to ensure future employment worth a lot more than his payoff fee. You are too gullible and soft like bread, it will catch up with you if not already.
J.Lisemore Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 IN. to say theres been a massive over-reaction on here is an understatement.
cc_star Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 If we sack sven, will the dressing room turn?... They'll turn anyway Howard & Schlupp can't be happy with Beckford ahead of them on current form. SSL has already spoken out & 8 into 4 doesn't go in midfield Unless we're in the top2 & premier league bound why would any of them want the occasional reserve game when given the right manager/coaching/circumstances they would get in many 2nd tier 1st teams, none of that matters ehen you're riding high & buzzing but in mid-table I'd have thought it'd be quite a drag.
He's not bald Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 I will drive him at my own expense to the nearest airport and pay for a single to Stockholm...
Tielemans63 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 You are too gullible and soft like bread, it will catch up with you if not already. and the simile of the day award goes to.....
Libertine Dream Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 If we sack sven my prediction is relegation We'll finish at least mis table no matter what but sven has made his signings now and has shown he hadn't a clue what he was going to do with them thus making us look amateur. We were worse today than in the first two home games, no improvement despite the time

You are too gullible and soft like bread, it will catch up with you if not already. Sven doesn't really strike me as a rapist. Then again, I don't have any means of comparison because I don't know any rapists around me. Do you? Besides, what kind of bread are you talking about? Fresh bread? Three-day-old bread? White bread? Fruit bread? Or rather whole-grain bread? You see, life bread is so much more diverse than you'd like it to be...

Bugg Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Sacking managers repeatedly does not help the club. If we keep on sacking the managers after a loss or a draw then we won't be expecting promotion at all. For me, chopping and changing does not equate to results, having to change playing styles week in, week out will have a detrimental effect on the squad's morale, not to mention that some of the players who came to join Sven will not want to be there once the man they came to play under has been sacked. Keep him in for the duration of the season, and if it proves to be a failure let him go.
dave the caveman Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 If we sack sven, will the dressing room turn?... The squad is full of immature dickheads who think they are gangsters. The likes of SSL, Beckford, 'Dannzy' N DER CRU will make it impossible for the new manager. We're in a real mess. A real big mess. As absurd as it sounds, we need a big clearout asap.

Keep him in for the duration of the season, and if it proves to be a failure let him go. Although I agree with you in the fact sacking managers isnt always the best way, it appears to me you're not a fan of change. He appears to be getting worse tactically and seems unable to motivate. He signed the wrong players without thinking about it. Mould the players to a formation, don't create a formation to suit your masses of central midfielders. If you let him go at the end of the season a) you've wasted a season b) you have to spend more money on players and do the same again. It appears he is past his sell by date now which is why we need a young motivator with footballing knowledge. Solskjaer was a great shout but clark and poyet also fit the bill. If he gets the sack then coyle would be worth a try and maybe even hughes. We now have 3 difficult gamea which could pass us by and leave us adrift of the front runners. Im not confident in svens ability to get us points out of these games, but im sure people will still back him for some unknown reason. Sousa was villified but at least we looked like scoring and fashioned chances with some exciting football, complete opposite now. Fed up of it but Ill support the boys but not mr eriksson.

Nice to see you failing to mention why Sven left Notts County and that he waived a £2.4m payoff fee, instead opting for two months' wages. Right - Sven is all about the money. No worries on taking 2million of a third world country though for 3 games work.
Thracian Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Out for me. I'm not seeing any signs of tactical astuteness or a convincing style of play emerging. Furthermore we've signed too many ordinary players and are not getting the best from what we have got. Apart from that our basics have not improved at all. We are so poor from free-kicks and corners no-one even gets optimistic any longer. We're not even looking imaginative or dangerous. Our movement too is pathetic. Times in the second half today we needed people driving into the box but didn't have any. And few people showed the determination to make selfless runs off the ball. The idea of playing full-backs as supplementary wingers is naive and the balance of our midfield completely is haywire with Abe a little boy lost and Johnson still obviously unfit.. The folly of Sven's general refusal to use wingers was emphasised today when Dyer took Millwall apart time and again. Unfortunately Sven had taken one of our central strikers off (Beckford) and left us with no-one to feed off the numerous crosses sent into the Millwall box courtesy of Dyer. It wasn't Beckford being taken off upset me - it was not replacing him with a proper striker. Vassell is not a striker. I've not been convinced of Beckford's team ethic and even less so after today. And losing Mills has exposed the fragility of St Leger as the centre-back option when Tunchev seems a much more accomplished player. The consequence of all the above and more is that we're not winning enough matches but worse than that we're not playing well for more than occasional 45-minue spells. There's no obvious philosophy, we're far too cautious, confidence is fragile and our team lacks far too many factors to be convincing.
