Daggers Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Nice blokes win nothing.  Like that bloke who advertises crisps?
bluesbrothers Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Just feel flat really. Shocked and flat. Unless there's somebody good in the frame, which i question, my optimism went out the window at about 6:30 last night.
flowwolf Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Like that bloke who advertises crisps? He's not tried managing has he ? sorry wrong analogy.
He's not bald Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Happy. we were never going anywhere under Sven, may well mean another season in the championship but we wouldn't have got promoted anyway, good riddance he was bloody rubbish and I'm pleased our owners have seen the light sooner rather than later.
GLC Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Nice blokes win nothing.  Doesn't matter if they win nothing, it's not nice to see managers lose their jobs, even if they have had a poor run
Master Fox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Probably the only sacking of a manager I disagree with in my time as a Leicester fan. Usually I would feel a sense of relief and joy when the manager was sacked. But this time it feels different. I really wanted Sven to succeed with us, I'm really disappointed. He wasn't given enough time. But I'm not going to boo Top and the KP board over it. I hope they can get it right. I don't even know or really care who we get in. I think we're all so used to losing and failing as a club it doesn't really matter now.
Legend_in_blue Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Frustrated. Despite his standing in the game he couldn't come up with an alternative on the pitch when it wasn't working.
Corky Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Nervous: Sacking a manager is one thing, replacing them with better is the biggest task.
ozleicester Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Gutted... potentially the best side and manager we have seen in a VERY long time. Amazed ....that the owners would be so reactionary. Saddened...I truly feel let down by my club tonight Amused... someone is going to walk into the best job in England this week in the end i am just appalled by my own naivety, in believing that we had owners who understood that this is not a league that is won in October.
flowwolf Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Doesn't matter if they win nothing, it's not nice to see managers lose their jobs, even if they have had a poor run Are you serious? It doesn't matter if they win nothing ! :crylaugh: That's the best wind up post I have read on here your a genius congratulations :crylaugh: :crylaugh:
AdamN Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Shocked Horny Happy Satisfied Disappointed (in myself) In that order.
Kitchandro Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Are you serious? It doesn't matter if they win nothing ! :crylaugh: That's the best wind up post I have read on here your a genius congratulations :crylaugh: :crylaugh: I think you're missing his point...
B52 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Disappointed and a bit worried about the owners "money". It seems as KP wanted to use Sven as a marketing spin and then get rid. I hope the new manager is in his early forties, not MON because he is the same generation as Sven. If we do change manager, get a young one.
Mythyaar Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Happy. Nice man, but certainly not up to the challenge. There is a misconception in the media that the guy was only given 12 games to demonstrate his worth. But what they are conveniently side stepping is the incredibly bad job he did of (not) guiding us into the playoff places last season, when we were around Jan time in such a good position to achieve this. His number was up then for me. On a positive note, the likes of Bamba, Mills, Peltier, Nugent even Konchesky are decent acquisitions. Dyer will hopefully feature more now, as will Schlupp. But as all my delighted Evertonian friends remind me, we were sold a real pup in Beckford!
GLC Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Are you serious? It doesn't matter if they win nothing ! :crylaugh: That's the best wind up post I have read on here your a genius congratulations :crylaugh: :crylaugh: I think you're missing the point! Carlo Ancelotti got sacked even though he won the league, Mourinho got sacked and he's been Chelseas best manager! Seeing Sven get sack is upsetting, because he's a nice bloke!
Burmesefox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Why would this make someone Horny? Think it's a bit like death....................you know, your at the funeral and they lower the coffin in and you get this huge stalk on and then **** the Mrs proper dirty in the cemetry toilets whilst everyone else is talking about what a chap Uncle Morris was.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Having found out this morning that we have no one lined up to replace him I'm angry more than anything. So the owners have sacked Sven because he doesn't know what he's doing, without knowing where that will take them. Quality - we are a joke. We could end up with Mark "did worse than Sven" Hughes or Bryan "connected" Robson. So I am also nervous. Very, very nervous. We're going to get hammered (sic) on Saturday.

Given the last funeral I went to was when I was 12, no I don't know that.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I still feel horny after yesterdays announcement!!!! Yes, but that's kind of your default setting.
inckley fox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I wasn't especially pro or anti Sven, but I was unsurprised to see him go - like most pundits - and thought things may have got better with time - like a lot of pundits. I don't see Leicester being a laughing stock among neutrals other than because we've spent so much money and got nowhere, which Sven had a big part in. Why not all this furore when Holloway, Sousa left the club after being far more low profile failures, but with a lot less time at it? It seems to me some people got so excited about Sven at the beginning that they're struggling to find a way back down to earth now. One further note - how do people justify saying that Sven needed more time, while at the same time blaming players who've only been here for a matter of weeks?
acooling08 Posted 25 October 2011 Author Posted 25 October 2011 Well I'm over the shock now. Just feeling apprehensive about Saturday and beyond.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Sven is a top bloke (no pun intended) but not the right bloke for City it would appear, as Leicester City Football Club is my only concern i would rather look to the future now
FantasticMrFox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Very very disappointed. A tight division, time needed to gel the team, a matter of a couple of wins and we will be there or thereabouts. Bad move I reckon. Who knows - we might end up with Steve Mclaren and his umbrella!.....
