Jace Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I'm a little shocked and disappointed but excited too
StanSP Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Shocked, disappointed and frustrated. Shocked - it was out of the blue. I'd heard nothing about Sven losing the dressing room or no rumours at all that he might be given the sack. Didn't even know about the emergency meeting he had with the players. Disappointed - I felt he should have had more time and I'm disappointed the owners didn't give him it. I feel Sven had so much more to give and we would have got ourselves up the table in the end. Disappointed for Sven too cos he's a very nice, humble guy and it's unfair the way he's been treated. Frustrated - Just when we're looking for stability and think we may have found it, this happens. It's frustrating to think that the owners are naive in expecting instant success. It was never going to happen and they should have realised that. The phrase 'Rome wasn't built in a day' comes to mind.
The Doctor Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Why would this make someone Horny? Shocked. Frustrated and Disappointed for me although somewhat apprehensive as to his replacement could go down as well.
FuriousFox46 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 All but Happy, satisfied and horny. I'm an emotional person.
Guest MattP Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Weird. A mixture of sadness, excitement and disappointment

Personally Sven's sacking doesn't set my pulse racing, but ask the 2 who have already selected it
ithuriel Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 sad that it did not work out and he has had a good year in the job with more backing than a lot of manager's in this division. at the same time i am hopeful that the next manager can get the team playing consistent, entertaining football and get us at least into the playoff's for the first time since pearson left.
irishgus Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I'm happy because personally I thought we have been painful to watch especially Birmingham away, don't get me wong there was a good performance here and there but in my opinion it wasn't good enough and it wasn't gonna get us to the premier league come may..Svens style of play was ridiculas the team has no width whatsoever, the players we have can easily open up any team in this league but without width we can't do that and instead we play into the hands of teams like Millwall Barnsley etc because when there isnt that option of giving the ball out to the wingers the team ran out of ideas very very quickly.. At the end of the day im happy hes gone as it just wasn't good enough!!...Will be happy with any of the following 1) MON, 2)Billy Davies, 3)Di Mattieo, 4)Mark Hughes, 5)Ole Gunner..
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Wow.. The forum tonight really has been full of emotion.. Although I thought Sven was a good guy, it was clear to all but the blinkered that he was starting to struggle to really get to grips with this tough old division. I think it's crazy to be all doom and gloom about his sacking. Sven will be ok, even if this is his last managerial job he's had a good career and has made more money than most if us will ever dream of. I'll be honest... I'm actually now excited because, if we get the right bloke in, I reckon we can go to places that I genuinely believed Sven could not take us to.. But it must be the right man.. Not Keane, Dowie, Boothroyd or the like.. These are all washed up old has beens that will deliver nothing more than Sven could and probably less IMO. I'd like to see MON, Lee Clark, Billy Davies and especially Nigel Adkins at the helm, although as a poster said earlier today, he probably wouldn't come. However, my fear is that Top and the gang may well go for another big name for their PR value rather than their managerial acumen and knowledge of how to get out of the Championship. What's pretty much nailed on is that there should be lots of people wanting this job... Walshy will probably throw his hat into the ring again and I hope to God he ain't taken seriously, not as the manager anyway. West Ham aways gonna be an even tougher ask now and we'll do well to come away from Upton Park with a point. Time to move on and hope that the next appointment is finally going to be the one to deliver the good, attractive football that our fans so desire and hopefully the success we so seek Leicester till I die
Kitchandro Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I voted horny, there are now a number of women in Leicestershire about to enter the rebound stage Other than that, I was actually shocked that he was sacked, didn't expect it to be this week, though a few more down the line and I wouldn't have thought it out of the question. Secondly I'm nervous about who we will appoint, only then will we have an idea of whether this was a good decision or not. But overall, I'm not disappointed, I wouldn't quite say 'satisfied', because frankly I'm gutted at how the season has turned out so far, after all the optimism I felt in the summer and on the way to Coventry in August. I have been very critical of the guy but I did want him to succeed, he was our manager afterall and a likeable guy. But I was skeptical about whether he was good enough last season and this one he's had no excuses, and sadly he did nothing to convince of anything other than he was the wrong man for the job. Another emotion I feel is anger, not at his sacking but at the fact that a multi-million pound team has delivered mostly horrible boring football and negative tactics and attitude. We have a good squad so I'm hopeful that with a decent replacement we will still have a chance of going up. I certainly don't get the wrist slashing going on on here.

You're over the bloody moon... It's not like you to wrap up your real feelings in a load of emotion!!
Kitchandro Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Cmon Kitch be honest... You're over the bloody moon... It's not like you to wrap up your real feelings in a load of emotion!! Why would I be over the moon? We're in the bottom half and we've got to get a new manager, and I'm not sure who it's going to be. After all the optimism of the summer no Leicester fan wanted this situation. I don't have it in for Sven and I don't think you do either. Like you, and I just don't feel he's the man for the job. I would have much rather have been proven wrong believe me, the club is the most important thing and it will be horrible if we don't go up this year. I'll be happy if we get a good replacement, if we get Robson or McLaren well then it'll be a nightmare!

cc_star Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Shocked it happened as I thought he'd be here for the duration of his contract. Disappointed that that apart from against Derby a team who didn't put a single tackle in the whole match & Brighton who were over achieving & on a downward curve we've been woeful. Angry that he couldn't get talented players to play & that in trying to solidify the team from being too open last season he's stifled all creativity, pace & excitement in favour of a one-paced outfit that lacks any flexibility throughout the whole squad. Happy that the slow death of one step forward, one step sideways & one step backwards is finally over, more time would only have drawn this out, if anything we were getting worse. I criticised Sven last December after a fourth away defeat in a row, and was slated on here & have been ever since for hating Sven, I don't hate Sven,he genuinely seems a very nice & likeable guy, which thinking about it may be half the problem. I'm sad that the valid criticisms I had have played out in front of our eyes. I would much rather have been proved wrong & been able to play the amazing football of last Feb but without the leaky defence all the way to the Premier League. I'm excited that the manager induced paralysis of the team can stop & we can move on hopefully with someone better But am nervous that we'll end up with McLaren or similar especially as his name was mentioned last week with Sven moving upstairs.
flowwolf Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Deliriously happy. Never for one moment thought he was a good appointment and I am glad the owners had the courage to stop the rot before it was too late. Good riddance.
Guest Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Stupid owners Football isn't like Duty Free - you can't put prices up one day and get profits the next. Stability at the top is so important and underrated. Does that mean this season can be an excuse for a new manager? of course it does. These players came because of Sven. does a new manager bring all his own in over the next year. Stupid stupid stupid.

GLC Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Shocked - Didn't see it coming Disappointed - Thought he deserved more time Frustrated - Why give him 15 mil to spend and then sack him 13 games in!? Upset - Such a nice bloke,
Daggers Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 It depends; is Beckham still coming to asthmatically limp around the touchline.
sw_fox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Shocked- I didn't realise our owners were this short sited!
Daggers Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Shocked- I didn't realise our owners were this short sited! That's a terrible development.

Fox92 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Satisfied: Although I have been questioning Sven for some time now, I wouldn't say that his sacking has made me happy (its never nice to see somebody get sacked), I would say I am more satisfied. We have sat through some horrible matches already this season; Bristol City, Millwall, Reading and they are only the home games!! Shocked: A little shocked. I didn't expect it coming so soon to be fair. Frustrated: I am hoping the owners have something lined up and I imagine they will have. I don't know who to be frustrated with; I am not blaming the owners because it is their money, and I suppose they can do what they want. Nervous: I am nervous about who are we going to appoint, but also nervous about West Ham on Saturday (well, I always was in a way).
