dannythefox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 you lot easy get took in by stringer... if there was anything in it he would have played the call..... He's just said what he said in the call that he didn't want to talk about it on of off the record!
EnderbyFox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 you lot easy get took in by stringer... if there was anything in it he would have played the call..... I don't he'd play it as i assume there was a lot of embarrasing grovelling on Stringers part "oh pleaseeeee Marty, give me something "
m00nie Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 He's just said what he said in the call that he didn't want to talk about it on of off the record! why not play the call then?? maybe the context/tone of it is completly different to how ian string you along for ratings stringer is making it......
Bellend Sebastian Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 IAN STRINGER If you are reading this, and I know you are - shame on you. Look at what you are doing to your fellow fans. Is it worth being prat just to get attention? It's always worked for me
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I do like MON, but if he returns, promotion just aint gonna happen. Mind you, it just aint gonna happen this season, whoever comes in!
lestajigs Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Most on here need to keep your feet on the ground, getting worked up for pretty much nothing
Wink Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Or maybe he just doesn't want to offend the Leicester fans that love him, by saying he doesn't want the job? We can take absolutely nothing from O'Neill telling Stringer to fook off. Calm down people. Maybe your right! NO BODY KNOWS! I'm excited at the prospect of him coming back and i'll use any kind of positive that he's coming back to feed my enthusiasm for this! Sorry if you don't wish to agree, thats what makes football great.. I'd rather be excited and let down and never get excited at all
body102 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Whichever manager has the longest forum thread , gets the job
flowwolf Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I do like MON, but if he returns, promotion just aint gonna happen. Mind you, it just aint gonna happen this season, whoever comes in! Suppose your bottles half empty. Life don't talk to me about life !
Dames Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 One thing about O'Neill it has always seemed that he doesn't like needless attention from the media so by refusing to comment and thus refusing to put the matter to bed entirely (Something he'd want to do especially if you have ****** like Stringer trying to contact you) he's left the door wide open. I'm not saying its nailed on but it seems he might be quite interested.
Wink Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Or maybe he's privy to who IS getting the job, but doesn't want to reveal that info through unofficial channels. It may be him, or, alternatively, it may be Roy Keane.. We haven't really moved any further forward on this. You might be right... I'm only concerned on taking the positives he could be coming back home, it might not happen! However this news excites me, and i'd rather be excited and let down than not be excited at all!! Stop being so pesimistic and join in the fun!!
whitlock Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Stringers is doing his job though...Gets callers in, listeners in... We're the mugs for listening to what he says
EnderbyFox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I do like MON, but if he returns, promotion just aint gonna happen. Mind you, it just aint gonna happen this season, whoever comes in! I hope you are happy, i just attempted to find a witty picture of an "excited guy" to counter your post, i was bombarded by pictures of men with erections.

TrentFox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I do believe MON has turned into Santa Claus !!! Even though we'd all like to believe, sadly the evidence is limited to a few crumbs ..... carefully prepared by the well-meaning once a year, (each time we sack our manager), which is embellished by others as they start to enjoy the positive attention they get from those that wish to believe. For the record, if MON is the manager of this club again in the coming days, I'll start putting a stocking at the end of my bed again this Christmas.
Wink Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I know everyone doesnt want to get their hopes up, i get that but after yesterday when it looked like we would end up with roy bloody keane this seems like heaven!! We're not stupid enough to believe everything we hear/see/read but we want to believe and have that bit of excitement in our lifes! Don't know about some of you but i'm gonna grab some beers to chill out.... Before I turn to the blue smarties!!
Len Finsbury Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 If he isn't even interested, as some have said, then surely he would say so. Perhaps not bluntly but with a 'not at this time' spin. There's still some interest, I'm sure.
dannythefox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 why not play the call then?? maybe the context/tone of it is completly different to how ian string you along for ratings stringer is making it...... Maybe.
stourbridgefox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 On the phone to Loros Top said that he was 'talking to the new manager today.' They must've finished pretty early for Martin to get back to Hertfordshire to take Stringer's call. For his next trick, Stringer should ring Pearson...and record it!

Take it Martin does not have a mobile then
wurmer Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Brian: I'm not the Messiah! Will you please listen? I am not the Messiah, do you understand? Honestly! Girl: Only the true Messiah denies His divinity. Brian: What? Well, what sort of chance does that give me? All right! I am the Messiah! Followers: He is! He is the Messiah! Brian: Now, **** off! [silence] Arthur: How shall we **** off, O Lord? Feel familiar.....
