JoJo1981 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 My conclusion MON is coming home Wish this forum had a 'like' button!
Finchy Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 He's coming home!! Well done top HAHAHA!! Perfect opportunity to say he isn't interested to a BBC Leicester journo and he didn't... somethings going on!! Or maybe he just doesn't want to offend the Leicester fans that love him, by saying he doesn't want the job? We can take absolutely nothing from O'Neill telling Stringer to fook off. Calm down people.
breadandcheese Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 How is Stringer betraying the confidence of MON surely MON must have agreed to the conversation. I'm not sure he did agree to a conversation. He received a call and stated that he did not want to talk about the Leicester job either on or off the record. i.e. I don't want to talk about and don't want a conversation about it. In my eyes, I'd be pretty p*ssed if that was me and the journalist to whom I just said that to, then announced it to the world like he's achieved a big scoop.
Clarkielcfc Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 JUST REMEMBER THIS PEOPLE. If Tony Pulis didn't believe in that old bullshit notion of 'you should never go back', Stoke would be rotting away in League One. He didn't, he went back to Stoke, and they're a top 10 Premier League Team in Europe, regardless of the fact that they rely on throw-ins. I think O'Neill is intelligent enough to know that this is an almost totally different LCFC to when he was here last, and IF he is given the assurances, a good financial package, and shown that he truly is wanted, we can definitely get him. If we get him, I'm going on an all day bender, even though I'm meant to be detoxing... can i come??

accessory Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 He's coming home!! Well done top HAHAHA!! Perfect opportunity to say he isn't interested to a BBC Leicester journo and he didn't... somethings going on!! Or maybe he's privy to who IS getting the job, but doesn't want to reveal that info through unofficial channels. It may be him, or, alternatively, it may be Roy Keane.. We haven't really moved any further forward on this.

When reading this I honestly thought it was going to refer to Nigel Pearson. Then I read the rest.
Ric Flair Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 How the fook can anyone get excited about that? It's as if some of our fans regard O'Neill as uncontactable, untouchable and unapproachable and even a fart in response to a question is an honour and blessing. I hope some of you end up in a loony bin an your life in tatters when he doesn't come back, it'll serve you right. Trump Knockers.
Finnegan Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 So. Basically... Ian Stringer is an annoying twat, finds the poor man's personal phone number, calls him up, gets told to jog on... and people are taking that as a GOOD sign?
FallenAngel Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Or maybe he's privy to who IS getting the job, but doesn't want to reveal that info through unofficial channels. It may be him, or, alternatively, it may be Roy Keane.. We haven't really moved any further forward on this. THIS
Bangbangboom Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 My conclusion, he's telling Stringer to F-off and go away. We'd all like to do that.......which makes you wonder why he didn't tell him to f-off and rule himself out of the whole thing
EnderbyFox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Still don't think it will happen. But if he does, in the words of someone on this forum (Can't remember who) "I'll cum in my own gob"
lcfc_amie Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Getting REALLY excited, and actually starting to believe it could happen :w00t: I'll feel let down if its not him now though Can't believe I'm getting this excited about someone not making a comment on something.
dannythefox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Just listen to stringer O'Neill said he doesn't want to talk about the job on or off the record! What does that mean could O'Neill be coming home? It was in a phone call to O'Neill today!
flowwolf Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I'm joining you mate! Piss up of the highest magnitude will be in order! Yes get your booze from morrison's Martin will help you pack it . That is Martin behind the counter who used to be a lady but prefers other girls fury front bums now.

cc_star Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Hughes still sounds most likely, without outside bets to the positive on O'Neill & to the negative on Keane
rams r4 sh*ggin Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 MON odds has gone from 25s with sky bet this morn down to 12s now. also with hughes, clarke, davis, pearson being shorter odds earlier why would stringer feel the need to ring MON?
m00nie Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 you lot easy get took in by stringer... if there was anything in it he would have played the call.....

It's not really a wonder though supporting the foxes. Am supprised we are not all AA members the shite we have put up with since MON left. Oh well  off to the fridge again
Corky Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I see he does the Steve Howard celebration. That has to be a sign that he's COMING BACK!!
flowwolf Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 MON odds has gone from 25s with sky bet this morn down to 12s now. also with hughes, clarke, davis, pearson being shorter odds earlier why would stringer feel the need to ring MON? Every picture tells a story.
roblcfc84 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 It's a clear indication that he atleast knows something. In football as with anything in life people always have an agenda. More so if the media is involved you have to be very careful. If he was not involved it would be to hid advantage to say no I'm not involved - plus he is a man of integrity and would let rumours persist. I therefor conclude it was to his advantage not to comment. It's the on or off the record bit that's interesting.
Kitchandro Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 IAN STRINGER If you are reading this, and I know you are - shame on you. Look at what you are doing to your fellow fans. Is it worth being prat just to get attention?
