Pretty much what it says, who do we think will thrive under Nige and who may well be on their way out?

I personally think Matt Mills' no nonsense defending will go down brilliantly with NP whereas Bamba will have little choice but to adapt.

Up front, I can see Nugent being a favourite of Pearson from the off. Full of running, pace and goals. Pretty much mixing up the best attributes of Fryatt and Waghorn when they played well in this division two seasons ago and more prolific than either. Beckford on the other hand could struggle if his attitude is wrong, we all know how Campbell ended up.

I think you're right about JB. DJ was pushed out because he was a divisive influence in the squad - I can def see Beckford heading in a similar direction.

Kasper, Pelts, Mills, Bamba, Konchesky should all be fine. The midfield is tough, Danns could be alright and I'd hope Johnson. Nugent definitely.

Also think Mills will be liked, think Peltier should continue to improve, I think Pearson will like Fernandes with us energetic approach (at least I hope he does), Danns may improve, Nugent should continue his good season.

Ball will probably never play again, can't see Vassell doing much Johnson may get sent back because NP realises we've got too many central midfielders. Beckford could go either way.

Vassell I don't know, I was under the impression he'd done his cruciate ligament, in which case he probably won't play again in a city shirt (out of contract at the end of the season).

Bamba I think will survive due to his good defending, although he might have to adapt slightly to being less gung-ho.

Beckford and St. Ledger have massive attitude problems going on history and Pearson won't stand for that, shape up or ship out for the both.

In the Premier League?

:D

Granted!

He was never going to make it here though with Nige around, the two simply didn't get on.

under Sven im sorry to say we were more like individuals, under Pearson i think we will be a team and hopefully a well organised compacted and most importantly simple passing and hoof football, could see us signing a target man in january with ball winning midfeilders/defenders more mobile attackers and wingers also get rid of some of the sour fruits.

good hopes for the future if this happens, a warning to fans though, dont expect miracles sven has built a side lacking in width and the team is low on confidence you may not see any difference untill the new year with the prospect of a new refreshing manager making some positive changes, hope it ends up being Pearson but if not i have faith we can turn a corner with a new manager in charge.

Bamba is eccentric but he is a class defender, I can't see him just dropping out the team. I believe Pearson will be able to work with his best attributes and improve him, while cutting out a lot of the crap that causes Alan Young to go mental.

Hope bamba doesnt go, definately a potential "player of the season" contender already IMO

There should also be a poll on who's coming back.

Oakley, Waghorn, Hobbs for sure. Fryatt anyone?

oakley?? WTF.. why would we bring him back.. to play him on the right again.. :frusty:

people keep saying we did so well with the players we had before and now we have better so why should we need to bring anyone back..

Kasper will be fine, his massive kicks will suit Pearson's so called turgid football. Peltier, Konchesky both fine, Mills is similar to Hobbs so he'll be in, Bamba not sure, Nugent won't go anywhere.

Fernandes will be involved, but Beckford and Danns I don't know about.

I just have a funny feeling Beckford will be alright under Pearson's guidance. We know Pearson won't take any nonsense.

I think Kasper, Pelts, Mills, Konchesky, Bamba will all be fine, although I can see Bamba getting a bit of a talking to for messing about with the ball at his feet too much.

Not a clue about the midfield really. I think Danns possibly needs to buck his ideas up, but then again the whole midfield need to up their games.

As far as the attackers go, I'm with the general consensus here that Vassell may well be on his way out at the end of the season. All the others I think will be fine.

I think most will improve, partly because they have mostly underperformed so far. Pearson specialises in getting the best out of players.

Part of the problem is that they are playing as individuals rather than a team, they wre all being expected to produce something by themselves instead of working as a unit. The pressure is on them and it's not like they are in it together.

Vassell has a long term injury and I don't see him as a big player for Nige, Ball wouldn't have played much anyway, and the same with St Ledger. I expect Tunchev to be recalled and used ahead of him. Beckford might also be 'the next DJ' if he doesn't pull his finger out, he will need to show the right attitude straight away or he could be left out in the cold.
