Asha Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 I've done a brief search for a thread, and could only find a 'sweep teams' thread. If I've missed a glaringly obvious one somewhere, then I acknowledge my error and trust that forum mod Stan will sort me out. So, FA Cup First Round proper is this weekend. With no Leicester game, anyone going to watch any of the teams involved? I'll be watching my local team again and hoping for a shock in front of the TV cameras tomorrow lunchtime.
Corky Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Can't believe that 3 years ago we were preparing for a first round match, never thought I'd see it. Hope there's some shocks.
isaidno Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Would have gone to Hinckley tomorrow but I'm working. Great chance of getting through.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Going to watch Halifax vs Charlton on tv on Sunday, looking forward to it actually as the FA Cup always produces good games when I seem to watch. Hope Bradford PA win too.
Leicesterpool Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 I'm going to watch Hinckley & Tamworth tomorrow even though I support Nuneaton Borough. Fancy a change of scene, be a good atmosphere at the greene king.
isaidno Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Would love Corby to beat Bristol Rovers My housemate supports Bristol Rovers. Hoping for a replay so we can go and watch it
Basingstoke Fox Posted 12 November 2011 Posted 12 November 2011 Considering going to Brentford v Basingstoke now. Though I've been up since 15.00 yesterday and just finished work .
Asha Posted 12 November 2011 Author Posted 12 November 2011 Hinckley beating Tamworth 1- 0 (78min) 1-1 now
The Doctor Posted 12 November 2011 Posted 12 November 2011 Not going well for Bradford Park Avenue - 7-1 down at AFC Totton. edit: Full Time: 8-1.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 12 November 2011 Posted 12 November 2011 2-2. Stoppage time equaliser for Tamworth.
davieG Posted 12 November 2011 Posted 12 November 2011 2nd biggest club in Leicestershire formed from from United & Town nice little ground where you can stand close to the pitch, if they were nearer I'd go more often, what's to dislike
purpleronnie Posted 12 November 2011 Posted 12 November 2011 Hinckley so unlucky, bloody lose the replay now.
lcfcjim Posted 12 November 2011 Posted 12 November 2011 I went to the Hinckley match today. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Although the match was tarred in controversy, refereeing blunder at the end of the first half, and incredible scenes of crowd trouble.

DJhinckley Posted 12 November 2011 Posted 12 November 2011 ...and incredible scenes of crowd trouble. shirley it's not been that long since the newcastle game at filbo? you've seen this stuff before. I wouldn't exactly call 20 or so lads exchanging punches for a minute as incredible. more of a talking point was how the ref could give a penalty after awarding a free kick for offside, then having to be reminded by his lino that the ball was dead before he changed his mind to give a penalty. these are supposed to be FA referees <_<
lcfcjim Posted 12 November 2011 Posted 12 November 2011 I wouldn't exactly call 20 or so lads exchanging punches for a minute as incredible. Wasnt quite for just 1 minute - you obviously werent standing next to it when it all kicked off, otherwise you would understand what happened i.e. the fighting crowd goind out of control and onto the side of the pitch... Incredible scenes for a match at Hinckley is what I mean - not very often do we see that!
