Hi guys, just wondering what everyones opinions about tomorrow are? What do you think the result will be? What result would you be satisfied with? What changes do you think Pearson will make, if any? Will he start Beckford?

Probably got hidden amongst all the Nigel Pearson/Martin O Neill/We hate Roy Keane and Nicky Maynard threads

Yes, I've had a good look at our "proven players" both now and over 10 years of almost constant underperformance..

Last season I looked as some "proven" loanees like Ricardo, Kirkland, Bednar, Kamara etc. We finished 10th.

This season I've watched "proven" players like Fernandes, Danns, Johnson, St Leger, Beckford. We're 13th.

We "flopped" or failed to win 27 league games in 2010-11. So far this season, despite massive investment from the owners you mentioned, of our 16 games we've "flopped" in 10.

So don't try and ram your star players down my throat cos we've tried that right back to the time of Bowyer, Horsfield and Cadamarteri and I saw where it got us?

What we need is a consistent, balanced team with pace, skill and goals in it and a philosophy that will allow them to flourish. Signing superstars won't be easy anyway now, especially given the position we're in..not even on loan if they've better alternatives.

Our current strike force comprises Nugent (excellent), Beckford (disappointing), Howard (slow/limited) and that's it. So why would anyone not involve a quick, young, skillful player like Schlupp instead of keeping him stuck on the bench for 85 minutes or more? Why would he have any more chance of "flopping" than Howard or Beckford if played for half-an-hour or so?

Much as i like the guy "proven" striker Howard scored 5 goals in 35 appearances all told last season - as many as Schlupp's scored in just a few outings this season.

I'm not against buying quality, quite the contrary. But sometimes there's quality right on our own doorstep.

Leicester "flop" Gradel scored 18 Championship goals for Leeds after we said we didn't want him. And he was a winger.

I wonder how much closer those goals and the points to go with them might have taken us to promotion. Cos I'd doubt anyone will get 18 goals for us this season, "proven player" or not and I'd doubt we'll get 18 goals from our wingers and midfielders put together the way things are right now.

So, apart from "could flop," what football reasons would you give for not giving Schlupp some proper time and not showing some faith in his potential?

I agree Schlupp needs to be given game time, 5 minutes here and there is not really enough, half an hour is more realistic for him to show what he can do. Throwing an unproven youngster into the team is not ideal, but he should certainly be considered as an impact sub.

The difference with our strikers now compared to previous strikers under Pearson's old Leicester is that now, our strikers can actually create their own chances without having to get them served on a plate. Yet we will be just as strong defensively.

2-0 City. Nugent and Beckford.

We have a squad full of potential, this is clear to see.

Experts had us down as one of the teams to go up, they must have seen something and at the start of the season, I was thinking this was going to be a season where we watched good football and got most things right (Winning games).

Things I would like to see.

1. Nige must sort out the defence (which he will), get them working together, the quality is there.

2. Wingers - none of us are managers and we all know for a few seasons its what we have been missing.

3. Have a word with Beckford, he was and still is a good striker, he just has to get over the fact he was sold and now plays in the Championship not the prem (not yet anyway).

4. Hopefully the results will come and we as the fans wont call for his head should he lose a few games.

5. All players play like they want to be here, give us some of that passion that's been missing.

6. Start win a CP win 3-0

Jesus mate thank fvck your not the manager... " he are lads you've got half hour to go and proof yourself if not your SACKED"

he needs a season or two under his belt before being judged properly.

Bookies have us down as massive favourites but i somehow dont think it will be that easy. i think todays going to be down to how well the team pulls together, the quality is without a doubt there if they get their shizzle together. Off work sick with food poisoning (damn gregs) so i get to listen to this one on the radio which is a treat.

Kasper -

seems the obvious choice for goal keeper.

Peltier mills ledger and knochesky -

likely defence unless berner/ball/pantsil have shown pearson otherwise be interesting to see if there is a change in that rb/lb position. this is assuming tunch and bamba are unavailable.

dyer danns wellens johnson -

nigel has already recognised the need for widemen with dyer our most obvious one can see him starting. Danns a player who as recieved some stick but prior coming to us i thought he was one of the leagues best midfielders and a player i always wanted, how many times has he played his outright position this season? thats where he will work his magic not out on the left where hes average. wellens is industrious and johnson is a very talented player which im sure he will have shown.

Nugent beckford -

can barely fault nugent good goal ratio despite being unlucky with a few shots and being injured. Whilst underperforming in matches beckford is a very good player and will have shown nigel this making him an obvious choice.

Subs - weale howard shlupp king abe -

lots of forward options with abe versitile up as a right back/left back cover and a defensive midfield option or possibly as a wideman which he can do to an extent. peltier can cover CB

2-1 to nigels army!
