ozleicester Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 could potentially be the best Keeper we've ever had at the club Banks of England (look up the banks vs pele save) No-one will ever surpass Gordon Banks! edit...saved you the effort... Superb save and he certainly looks to have the passion for the team, he most certainly is a welcome addition to the side.
Izzet is God Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 Class keeper...well a lot better then our recent lot (from what I can remember). He shows he's committed to every game and the fact that his communication to every other player on the pitch shows that all he wants is the same committment throughout. Don't say I blame him, if 1 player can give 100% week in week out, then why can't 11. Glad we signed him and hope he stays for a long time. Best keeper in the league imo.
somebum Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 I remember growing up, City always had good goalkeepers. Kasper looks to be carrying on with tradition. Top stuff

somebum Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 I think Shilts takes some beating. Close call between Shilts and Banks. I'd go Shilts... no...Banks. Shilts. Banks....

A lot of people play-down that save but it still looks amazing everytime I see it. I don't know whether it's the greatest ever, but it's utterly brilliant.

I don't know whether it's the greatest ever, but it's utterly brilliant. I'm going to downplay it. No question it was a fantastic save but it was a scrambled effort that many may have pulled off in the same situation. I think reflex saves like Kaspers deserve a lot more credit tbh, especially as it was down low in the opposite direction to which he was travelling.
Pub breath Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Great business by Leeds Aye, it certainly was. However good KS has been for Leicester, Andy Lonergan has been for Leeds. He's the best keeper we've had since Nigel Martin. Unfortunately, Kasper's time at Leeds was a mixture of the brilliant and the very poor but Andy has been consistently fantastic up until his injury (back training, thank God). it's no coincidence that our slump in form coincided with losing Andy. So we got a fair bit of money and an equally good or better keeper (with most of his career ahead of him like Kasper) for almost no money at all, on a longer contract. We pocket a tidy profit and are at the very worst, in equally as good shape as we were before. Most Leeds fans believe we're in better shape as Andy has much more command over the box and back four than Kasper. All in all, it was bloody brilliant business by Leeds. For once.
Narborough_fox Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Did it again today. Oh Kasper I do love you.
Kitchandro Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 You can stick your fvcking Lonergan up your arse....

Tielemans63 Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Was sat directly behind him when he saved that effort from Taylor-Fletcher - unbelievable tekkers.
kingfox Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Would just love it if some Leeds fans have been reading this page. Another excellent save again today, for whoever hasn't seen it, it will be on Sky Sports News probably. Kasper is the best in the league on form in my opinion, absolute quality keeper, thank you Grayson and Bates we love you.
Bryn Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 I see no weaknesses to his game except perhaps a hot head, which will be an asset as he gets older and mellower. As I said in the other thread, particularly exceptional is his concentration.
Pub breath Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 keep trying to convince yourself Have you seen Lonergan for us this season? I assume not, he's been exceptional. I have no issue with Kasper at all but I wouldn't swap back again and I don't think you'd find a Leeds fan who would. We're very happy with our lot, thanks He's back soon too, woohoo!

It does make a mockery of SG blaming all your defensive problems last season on Kasper though. 8 clean sheets so far

Why are yorkshire folk so deluded and up there own arses? You have lost millions on Kasper and we have got a bargain.
Simi Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 What a signing this man is. Cheers Leeds. Not only is he a great shot stopper his distribution gets us into to many good areas.
Babylon Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Thought the ball was almost straight at him for his save last night, I would expect most keepers to save them. Blackpools keeper pulled off some much better ones when we peppered their goal I thought.

FrankieADZ Posted 30 November 2011 Posted 30 November 2011 Kasper has to be the best keeper i've seen in a City shirt in a while......well since Pressman Good Ol' Leeds...thanks for selling him to us
