Ambitious Posted 27 November 2011 Posted 27 November 2011 Max Gradel scored his first goal for Saint-Etienne yesterday, in the Clubs emphatic 3-1 win over Corsica Island based side AC Ajaccio. The goal was assisted by defender Sylvain Marchal. The win moves Saint-Etienne up to 8th place in Ligue 1. Gradel moved to the French Capital outfit towards the end of August for a fee that was said to be around $2,000,000. Before moving to France he had spells in England at Leeds and Leicester - where he progressed through the clubs academy as well as a season long spell from the foxes at South Coasters Bournemouth.

davieG Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 Saint-Etienne is the capital of the Loire region so perhaps the French refer to it as a French Capital not the French Capital - just a thought A bit like Leicester being the Capital of the East Midlands
