EnderbyFox Posted 8 December 2011 Posted 8 December 2011 Johnny Mathis anyone ? You have impeccable taste sir.
Guest MattP Posted 8 December 2011 Posted 8 December 2011 Johnny Mathis anyone ? I actually got punched about 2 years ago in a pub when a guy came in who was the splitting image of Johnny Mathis. Absolutely steaming I led the whole table into that song to take the piss and he came over and twatted me.
I am Rod Hull Posted 8 December 2011 Posted 8 December 2011 You have impeccable taste sir. Just reminds me of Christmas when i was a brat.. I actually got punched about 2 years ago in a pub when a guy came in who was the splitting image of Johnny Mathis. Absolutely steaming I led the whole table into that song to take the piss and he came over and twatted me.
EnderbyFox Posted 8 December 2011 Posted 8 December 2011 Slightly off topic as its not my favorite Christmas song, but i heard it on the radio this morning and think it's the best cover of the song yet
Corky Posted 8 December 2011 Posted 8 December 2011 Surprise nobody's mentioned Santa Baby. Question is, who's done the best version?! Kylie.
Kitchandro Posted 8 December 2011 Posted 8 December 2011 Surprise nobody's mentioned Santa Baby. Question is, who's done the best version?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YA4eAvrwNs Eartha's. Old school is the best with these kind of things The re-release of Do They Know it's Christmas was an embarrassment.
BoneDog Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 I never knew there were so many Crimbo songs out there! And punched by a Johnny Mathis lookalike I once got followed into the toilets in a pub by a Julio Inglesias lookalike and punched while I was having a wazz by him. Not sure if it was because I called his dog 'Shep' or because I called him Inglesias.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Fairytale of New York. I listen to it all year round. Agree. Also Let it snow.
Jimbo Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Seriously?? You have a thread about Christmas songs and none of you mention Shakey?? Whats the world coming to, no wonder people say Christmas has lost it's magic........
lcfcadam Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Seriously?? You have a thread about Christmas songs and none of you mention Shakey?? Whats the world coming to, no wonder people say Christmas has lost it's magic........ Fair enough, fair enough - good call
MikeyT Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 You lucky bastard Mr. Bon Jovi in this video. Used to have a right crush on Cindy Crawford.
MikeyT Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Every year it's left to me It's so excruciatingly bad, it's good.
lcfcadam Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 The winner ! Goes straight in to the Christmas playlist - thanks for bringing it to my attention!
lcfcadam Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 If you only do one thing today, make sure it is to watch this:
Webbo Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 It seemed like this was re-released every year in the 80s but it never really made it as a hit. I like it though.
Rincewind Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 I heard this one mentioned today. Must be a classic worthy of a top three slot.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 I was thinking today that other religious holidays should have their own songs. You could have Do They Know It's Ramadan*, Last Diwali or even Merry Yom Kippur Everybody. Surely this would catch on. *given, the lyrics "feed the world" during Ramadan might not work.
MikeyT Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 So happy no one has posted Band Aid. Fecking hate that song.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Merry Xmas Everybody- Slade White Xmas - Bing Crosby War is Over - John and Yoko The Bells of Saint Mary's - Bob B Sox and the Blue Jeans
FuriousFox46 Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
