munf1987 Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Vardy isn't playing for Fleetwood today perhaps is on his way here? You beat me to it, was going to ask if anyone knows if he is injuried or anything
Happy Fox Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 You beat me to it, was going to ask if anyone knows if he is injuried or anything dpsalmon Dave Salmon Official line is that Jamie Vardy has a pulled hamstring, so not in the squad today.
Libertine Dream Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 dpsalmon Dave Salmon Official line is that Jamie Vardy has a pulled hamstring, so not in the squad today. Thats what they all say
Happy Fox Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Thats what they all say I know, looks promising hopefully he will come.
FrankieADZ Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Thats what they all say Wonder what the "Unofficial" Line is
Bettsy82 Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 im following this guy on twitter while we have an interest hes very active and tweets a lot. no mention of an injury on twitter must be on his way somewhere hopefully to us anybody doubting buying a non league player should watch grant holts performance against chelsea today. he bullied terry and luiz for the full 90. sign him up !!!!
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Fingers crossed on this one, i have a funny feeling it could really pay off
Guest parky0607 Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 I am from fleetwood and watch them when im not watching leicester and this guy is unbelievably class. he has a great eye for goal, lightening pace and an amazing touch and ball control. if we sign him it will be signing of the transfer window for us.
5waller5 Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 I just hope we have realistic expectations of the guy ..... Trevor Benjamin scored about 40 goals a season in league two, look what happened there.... If he is the next big thing then it may take a while for him to adapt, if he makes the step up at all.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 Since we're going for Delfouneso on loan wonder if that means we're not getting Vardy?
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 Since we're going for Delfouneso on loan wonder if that means we're not getting Vardy? What? Not heard that rumour? Any why not both? We do need some recruits to gee things up a bit
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 What? Not heard that rumour? Any why not both? We do need some recruits to gee things up a bit Yes but if we get Vardy and Delfouneso that means we have 5 strikers, 1 of them though injured. Just thought to myself though, can't Deldouneso and Vardy play on the wing?
Kitchandro Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 Yes but if we get Vardy and Delfouneso that means we have 5 strikers, 1 of them though injured. Just thought to myself though, can't Deldouneso and Vardy play on the wing? We aren't doing this are we? A couple of weeks ago we were being linked with 2 real wingers who are highly rated. Now potentially we're looking at sticking a non-league striker and a striker who's scored 3 in 36 on the wing.

Libertine Dream Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 I think this would mean when Schlupp is back he will go out on loan. Massive advantage having Vardy and Delfouneso who can both play up front or on the wing when we're away from home, would allow us to counter attack quicker and get more bodies into the box to score more goals. Should we get another CM then 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 would really work away from home. Still want out and out wingers though.

Vardy may well be good but he's proven in non-league and Schlupp is proven in league 1. Delfouneso hasn't really proved much yet either. Obviously it all depends on the impact they make by the time Schlupp gets back but I'm not really sure why people don't think Schlupp is worthy of a bench spot from what we know at the moment.
Guest parky0607 Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 Talk about selling yourself Jamie! haha sorry - I just think this guy is a hidden gem!

I just don't see why we'd sign Delfouneso on loan and not have him in the squad and sign Vardy, who is 25, to not even have him on the bench. 5 subs this year is a real mess and so I think Schlupp would go out on loan to play some games, with 5 subs and if these two sign I can't see him making a matchday squad.
Lesta Legend Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 Delfouneso's loan is only for a month (from reports) while Schlupp is injured (assuming), I cant see vardy coming but as the incoming loan is short term it could still be possible. And I am sure NP will bring in a proper winger, well i hope so that is
Number 6 Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 The Delfouneso loan seems to be to cover Schlupp's injury period. I'd be happy with that as would certainly us develop our youngsters than Villa's. Think there would still be room for Vardy here.
Libertine Dream Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 I hate a loan for a month, seems too short-termist and the player won't give two hoots if its 1 month.
