Ric Flair Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 I promise you, my mate works for Fleetwood. He's quite high up there. The bid has gone in, which we already knew anyway from Bert, The Mirror and Skysports. My update is that we catergorically will not let them keep him on loan for the rest of the season and we're pushing them to accept quickly. Cash is upfront.

Happy Fox Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 I am pretty sure the player would jump at the chance to come to this club, no disrespect to Fleetwood but if Vardy is ambitious then he will come here. He also lives in Sheffield so commuting wise it isn't far.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 Vardy needs someone who can put balls behind the defenders hopefully drink water can do this!!
Simmo86 Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 According to my mate the bid is being considered, they wanted to keep him until the end of the season but we're having none of that. We want him in asap. I think we'll hear something on this in the next day or so. Decent news!
Bryn Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 It's an awful lot of money that, it really is silly that for a non-league player. I'm delighted we're finally looking lower for players though, I feel we've missed out on many good strikers in the last few years both by ignoring academy players and lower league players.

Hardly a lot with signing Drinkwater for probably £500K, £2m on two players isn't bad.
paddy Agyemang Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 I would play Vardy on the wing and drop gally cos this lad can play on the wing
Leicfox Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 From my friend who works for Andy Pilley and goes to most away games with him in Pilley's Helicopter. Leicester can't afford him! Lots of rumours flying round, although this is the first mention of Leicester! I'll make some enquiries! Just waiting for him to get back to me.

80footgiraffe Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 This could be sorted out by the end of the week. Know an ITK, apparently the bid is pretty strong and Fleetwood seem willing to let go for that amount. Don't shoot the messenger guys. Just what I've heard
Fox 4 Life Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Can't really see how a non-league club could turn down 750k cash upfront in the long run. Think they are just stalling in the hope we increase or a bidding war starts

Know an ITK, apparently the bid is pretty strong and Fleetwood seem willing to let go for that amount. Don't shoot the messenger guys. Just what I've heard I've heard the same mate. I think the only glitch will be if we agree a fee for another target such as Stewart or even Snodgrass if those rumours are true.

I think the only glitch will be if we agree a fee for another target such as Stewart or even Snodgrass if those rumours are true. Sounds deluded but I think Snodders is more likely than Stewart atm. Vardy would be a class addition, and I know people are going on about 750k being ludicrous, but IMO, if you want a player it doesn't matter what league they're in, you spend the amount needed to get them.
80footgiraffe Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 me and ric will tell you anything we find out about
paddy Agyemang Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 We will never get Snoddy, he won't join us
jonlcfc1990 Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Can't belive people are tweeting this player and we haven't even made a bid for him haven't people had enough embarrassment from the BS ordeal

Ozwin Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 It's kind of refreshing seeing that we're going for these kinds of players and not big names like when we had Sven. So we have that Steve Walsh bloke back on the staff?

It's good to see because their as been many teams promoted from this league buying such players, rather than the names and egos that we seem to get.
