Horibbly Wrong Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Isnt this the Fleetwood player? Been mentioned one of the many threads a few days ago I think from someone who knows a Fleetwood fan
Amin Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 I remember listening to a cup match on the radio (5live I think) between Fletwood and another team. The commentators seemed to have a high opinion of him.
lcfcnoely Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 I know theres the odd exception but the lads 24 surely he would have been snapped up by now if he was good enough to play at a high level?
bluearmyfox23 Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Honestly never heard of him? And is this LCFCworld reliable ?
J.Lisemore Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Very good player with promising potential. Only problem is, hes not worth 5 Million quid so we won't bid, oh and he hasn't played in the Premiership so this also means hes not capable.

Exactly right Jack, these are the players we need not Michael Johnson n shit like that
Tuna Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 He's a fantastic player, full of pace and can finish, but honesty he's not better than Schlupp.
NewburyFox Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Got a cracking record for Fleetwood. Wouldn't be surprised if teams are monitoring him.
Dan Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/4022180/Vardys-name-is-on-Neils-wish-list.html
flowwolf Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 He's a fantastic player, full of pace and can finish, but honesty he's not better than Schlupp. Oh really ! so Schlupp is a fantastic player full of pace and can finish. Erm not seen that here so far have we ? the boy is totally over rated and this time next year you will not even remember him.
Lambert09 Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 Oh really ! so Schlupp is a fantastic player full of pace and can finish. Erm not seen that here so far have we ? the boy is totally over rated and this time next year you will not even remember him. Agree with this fully, I watched him lots at Brentford, he missed a lot of chances for them, his goal tally was more down to the great service he got from the midfield. A talent sure, but never going to be prem standard IMO
Leicfox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 I've seen Vardy play a few times this season at Highbury Stadium, he has lots of pace, he actually runs his socks off, can use either foot, can play out wide or through the middle and has scored goals wherever he's been, causing defences all sorts of problems. I couldn't say why he's still playing conference football as his record speaks for itself but he's far to good for that level imo. I think around 30 scouts went to see him play in the FA Cup replay against Yeovil. I think he could cut it at Championship level and be a success but the Fleetwood chairman Andy Pilley wouldn't let him go cheap (He's loaded). I think a bid of near £1m has been rejected from the Hammers.
Tielemans63 Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 I've seen him once at Nene Park when he played against Kettering and he looked decent - Championship level I'm not sure but you don't know unless you give a lad an opportunity. Kevin Phillips was a non-league player unil he was 22ish wasn't he? Think he played attacking midfield v K Town actually.
smudger63 Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Agree with this fully, I watched him lots at Brentford, he missed a lot of chances for them, his goal tally was more down to the great service he got from the midfield. A talent sure, but never going to be prem standard IMO Who knows if Schlupps going to turn into a prem player or not.Too early to say really. What i will say though, is if your old enough to have seen Lineker make his debut for us, and his subsequent early appearances, which i was, you would not have said he had a hope in hell, of making it to the top. Now Dave Buchannon, who made his debut on the same day, looked fantastic and looked to have a bright future in the game. Lineker went on to be one of Englands best ever strikers, while Buchannon faded into the obscurity of non league football. As for Schlupp missing loads of chances at Brentford, well i`ve yet to see a striker that don`t miss chances. Give the lad a chance for god sake!
Libertine Dream Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Steve Morison was still playing at conference level in 2009 when I believe he was 26. He became Millwall's prized asset and is now scoring a fair amount the the PL, whilst playing for his country. Some people just happen to be late developers like Ian Wright and DJ Campbell
bluearmyfox23 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I'm not to sure whether I would prefer to keep Schlupp or to give Vardy a chance in the championship?
Tielemans63 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Some people just happen to be late developers like Ian Wright and DJ Campbell And Demba Ba - was reading an article at the weekend and apparently he had a trial at Barnsley (I think it was) when he was 20 and they didn't want him!
Tuna Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I think he'd be a decent signing, but i can't see him being more than a fringe player. Yes Phillips played for - i think - Wealdstone until he was 22, Morrison was with Bishop's Stortford and of course who can forget Alan Smith who came from Alvechurch?
foxfanazer Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 Don't know much about him but must be a decent player. Probably not the sort of player we need at the moment though
Leicfox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 He's just scored a cracking goal against Blackpool, I've been watching the game while listening to our game.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Was he any good? And how did he cope playing against championship defenders!?
