Krimbinho Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Luke Chadwick was on Man Utds bench a few times. WORLD CLASS He even played Champions League... By the way, I always get excited when we sign unknown/unproven players, so I hope he signs.
Ric Flair Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I know a chap who is quite high up at Fleetwood, I'll send him a message on Facebook and see what's going on! By the way, didn't Morison cost Millwall a fair bit from non-league and Boyd at Peterborough? I'm sure Everton had a million bid turned down for Boyd after Stevenage played them in the cup years ago. It's a fair few quid but he's got the minerals by all accounts.
Happy Fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 John__Percy John Percy #LCFC are in for Fleetwood striker Jamie Vardy. Bid of around 750k on the table. #WHUFC and #Blackpool also interested

Narborough_fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Matt Elliot, Grant Holt, Chris Smalling, Sir Les Ferdinand, Ian Wright, Stuart Pearce and John Barnes all played in non-league football at one point and look what they did in their career. He's worth a gamble and must be better than what we have at the minute.

So why bid an amount thats equal or lower to already rejected bids
Happy Fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I swear Blackpool had a £750k bid rejected and WHU had a higher bid rejected also. burni Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 1 million, lets do it! who cares about the money i doubt his wage would be very high either

dave_the_fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Whilst that youtube vid is there, check him out against blackpool, looks quite the handful.
LCFC BEAST Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 It's better then nothing and in all honesty he looks quite decent. Lets go for it!
deep blue Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Yes but £1m is not a gamble it is a silly amount of money for someone who is not playing in the top leagues. £250k is a gamble. NP is a better judge of what he is worth than any of us. He'll come to his own decision about what that is, and not offer any more than that.
Libertine Dream Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I accept 1mil is a lot of money for a non-league player but I'd be more confident paying 1mil for Vardy than the same for a League 2 player or paying 5 or 6 for Rhodes who could still flop(unlikely). I am amazed at the amount of people who dismiss him due to him only playing non-league. The obvious players like Ian Wright and Kevin Phillips have come from non-league and done very well but others like Les Ferdinand, Iain Dowie, Dj Campbell, Charlie Austin, Chriss Smalling, Steve Guppy, Stan Collymore, Kerry Dixon and Steve Morison have all come from non league football to be successful having not played or failed in the football League. These weren't all for massive sums but they all came from the non-league. However a player I'd like to compare Vardy to is MUZZY IZZET. When we signed him for 700k (i believe) he hadn't player a single first team game for Chelsea or eve come close. He only played reserve games before we.signed him on loan. We were able to try muzzy before we brought him but it was still a big risk as he hadn't yet played anything near a season and his age was starting to rise. Now Muzzy is a Leicester great and many would live him back just to teach Wellens and King something. I imagine if FT had been around when he signed, some of you would be saying exactly the same.
StarFox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 http://www.mirrorfoo...icle854572.html Leicester made a £750,000 bid for non-League striking sensation Jamie Vardy. Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is battling Championship rivals West Ham and Blackpool over the Fleetwood star.Vardy, 25, has scored 20 goals this season already for the Cod Army and Fleetwood aim to keep him for the season. But Pearson has tested the Blue Square Premier club’s resolve with a firm offer for the former Halifax forward. Leicester are determined to bring in more firepower, with their £1.8million bid for Doncaster's Billy Sharp now looking doomed.
Lesta Legend Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 He has twitter and yet again Leicester fans begging him to join, strewth do we have the worlds most annoying fans or what
Happy Fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7436829/? Sky Sports understands Leicester City have joined the chase for Fleetwood hot-shot Jamie Vardy. A host of clubs are chasing Vardy with the striker netting 17 goals in 18 league games for Fleetwood this season. Fleetwood have already rejected a bid from Blackpool for the player this month, while the likes of Fulham, Wolves, West Ham Reading, Southampton and Rangers have all been credited with an interest in the player. Conference side Fleetwood are reluctant to sell Vardy with the club striving to win promotion, but they are set to have their resolve tested by Leicester. Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is looking to bolster his attacking options and it is believed he has put in a firm offer for Vardy as he looks to win the race for the in-demand forward.
