Dan Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 It's painful that we've gone from thinking "is this really what we want" to a lot of our fans now wanting him as we can't get anyone else. I also want him.
paddy Agyemang Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Based on what though? How many times have you seen him play live Paddy? I my uncle lives in Lancashire and he supports Fleetwood and Blackburn but he say this guy is quality
iamafox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Never heard of him and never seen him play. Sounds like he's Nigel's type of player because we didn't know Morrison and Adams before they were signed did we?
wigstonexile Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 It's not who he is but does would he fit into Nigel's plands for the TEAM? I believe Gestalt said something like "The whole is greater than the sum of the parts" So if Nigel can pick up players from leagues and mould them into an effective unit, I'm all for it. I wonder how many of the fans in the 90's where underwhelmed with the signing of Guppy, Savage and Lennon not to mention the Chelsea reserve Izzett. I want to see players who function as a team not 11 individuals, so i'm not worried where they come from as long as they add something to the TEAM
MikeyT Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 BertLcfc BertLcfc #lcfc will make an approach for Jamie Vardy.
Happy Fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 BertLcfc BertLcfc #lcfc will make an approach for Jamie Vardy. Hope so, this is the type of player we need hungry motivated individual it happens. John__Percy John Percy @ @BertLcfc already have
lcfcsnow Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 BertLcfc BertLcfc #lcfc will make an approach for Jamie Vardy. If we pay £1 million or more for a conference striker we've well and truly lost it.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I know he's a striker but can he play out wide?
ballso Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Hope so, this is the type of player we need hungry motivated individual it happens. John__Percy John Percy @ @BertLcfc already have ditto!
Bettsy82 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 If we pay £1 million or more for a conference striker we've well and truly lost it. I just don't care anymore !
J.Lisemore Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 If we pay £1 million or more for a conference striker we've well and truly lost it. Agree, its a lot of money. I trust Pearson's judgement, I feel hes good enough to step up, from what I've seen of him. We'll see
EnderbyFox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Not sure what to make of this one, atleast we aren't wasting money on a big name
SMX11 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 At least this lad would be chomping at the bit to play for us and will actually try, unlike half the team.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 At least this lad would be chomping at the bit to play for us and will actually try, unlike half the team. Like the last lower league winger we signed. Step forward Josh Low.
SMX11 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Well he is a striker for starters and his goal scoring record is excellent. While I think 1mil would be a lot of money for somone unproven at this level, we have hardly done well with signing players that are 'good' in the championship.
RowlattsFox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 If it is £1m then i am confident it will be in installments. I work with a couple of people who work at fleetwood and they rave about him. I don't know them well enough to know their judgement on a player though.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Like the last lower league winger we signed. Step forward Josh Low. Never actually saw Junior Lewis play, but Josh Low is THE WORST player I've seen in a Leicester shirt... and I even saw Rob Johnson play for us in the early 90s pre Brian Little. Even Peter Eccles and Kjetil Osvold- remember them - are better than him.
J.Lisemore Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Like the last lower league winger we signed. Step forward Josh Low. Yeah, these lower league players ay.. Matt Elliott was crap too.
Greg2607 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Yeah, these lower league players ay.. Matt Elliott was crap too. But the problem is, we can all find exceptions to the rule. I'm sure there are a number of people who have been discovered in the lower leagues, but on the whole, the reasons they are playing down there is because they weren't good enough to rise to the top. I'm sure no one is going to argue that there are a whole heap of players in the lower leagues that would put shame to the premiership players in terms of ability!! I spent 7 years playing semi professional football. Did I not get "discovered" because I was unlucky? No, I wasn't good enough. it's as simple as that.
Candidcamera Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 He is thought of highly from his time at Halifax. Has genuine pace. I like the idea of bringing in good players doesn't bother me from where and how much we have to give for them.
m00nie Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 so we offered 1 million for cameron stewart and may be offering 1 million for jamie vardy..

Yep I see where your coming from, but when people dismiss the conference as a league with crap players, its just not the case. They haven't necessarily originally started at bigger clubs in the first place, it may just be they were picked up by they're local club. But hey, we're all looking for a solution to Leicester City's onfield problems at the moment, and in my opinion, this is the way forward.
Bilbo Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Seriously a Million pounds for this guy? What a joke. Scott Sinclair was only £500k when Swansea bought him and he had proved himself at a number of decent clubs. If things continue this way the only thing we are going to win this season is the biggest laughing stock in the Championship.
