Leicester_Loyal Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 I hate a loan for a month, seems too short-termist and the player won't give two hoots if its 1 month. People said our loan players last year didn't give a shit either, and they were here for a season or half a season. Players do care, regardless of what people think.

I just think if we could get Vardy then we may aswell live on 3 strikers for the month rather than having a loan who will more than likely gain nothing from the month unless he gets shoved on the wing. If the worst did come to the worst then It can't be long until Waghorn is back.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 I think us loaning ND is just to give us another option. Vassell, Waghorn and Schlupp are all injured, but Schlupp will probably be back in 4-6 weeks, so by the time the loan is coming to an end, we will be close to seeing Schlupp return. Also, Nugent will need a break at some point, he has started almost every game as far back as I can remember. Against Swindon ND will probably start with Nugent on the bench. I'd rather have ND coming off the bench than Howard too.
Libertine Dream Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Training today so can't be injured. It definitely wouldn't be a pulled hamstring like they said. Normally be around a week or two out.
Happy Fox Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 vardy7 jamie vardy On way into training it's very cold along the sea front, and this traffic is so annoying I suppose Fleetwood are still thinking about the offer, or this one is dead now that we are signing Delfouneso on loan?

Delfouneso is only a 28 day emergency loan though.
Babylon Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Training today so can't be injured. Players often still go in to training if they are injured, they receive treatment, do gym work etc.
Ric Flair Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 This is odd. We have definitely bid for him and the offer is more than Blackpool bid and the cash is up front. I'm unsure as to why it's neither been rejected or accepted, or perhaps it has but it's not been made public. My mate hasn't got back to me over the weekend when I tried to find more out about 'the injury'.

Leicfox Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Vardy to Palace, According to the Guardian. £700,000 and will loan him back for the rest of the season. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jan/23/crystal-palace-fleetwood-jamie-vardy?newsfeed=true
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Is this dead in the water then, has he gone to palace instead?
Guest parky0607 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 The fleetwood chairman has said that he will only sell to a club offering 1 mill (not sure whether its got to be up front or not) AND to loan him back to fleetwood for the rest of the season. Any other offers are just getting thrown out of the window as fleetwoods chairman is loaded and can afford to negotiate. He is a blackpool fan and wants to sell him to blackpool but so far they havent offered what he wants, if we want this guy we are going to need to make a move quick.
thybluefox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I think this one is dead! Can't say I'm massively bothered.
ithuriel Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Dead most probably, can't see a club buying a player for a million to loan him back to the selling club, pointless exercise.
Dan Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 To pay £1mil for a non-league striker to loan back to his parent club, that really is just.... wow, I don't think even Sven would've done that.
PegguyArphexad Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Rumour has it that he is off to Southampton along with Billy Sharp
bluearmyfox23 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 What's with Southampton buying all these strikers!?
