Darkon84 Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 anyone know if the android version will work on my HTC Desire? Its the normal version, before the HD came out.
bmt Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Crespo is a free agent after the latesr update, he'll come to leicester aswell.... How does he do for leicester? I have a habit of playing really sensibly, getting a young cheap team with low wages to do well- then playing when a bit pissed and waking up the next day paying 30k+ wages to some blasts from the past. Did it the other day, although I was absolutely smashed so didn't really remember in the morning, about 3 years into the game, to find my midfield had been bolstered by the free signings of Xavi and Kaka (although their wages were ridiculous in relation to the rest of my team (90-100k). After getting trashed first game 6-1 they have bedded into my team nicely and I've actually improved. Also signed Ronaldinho as a scout for absolutely no reason
Des. Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Into my 4th season with Leicester. Things are starting to fall apart, can't seem to put a decent run together. 1st Season - Finished 2nd in the Championship 2nd Season - Finished 7th in the Premier League 3rd Season - Finished 10th in the Premier League Just started my 4th campaign, not going well though, won my first game but have lost the last 3 games.

HEGGSY Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 anyone know if the android version will work on my HTC Desire? Its the normal version, before the HD came out. Android version needs to be 2.2 or higher and your phone needs a screen resolution of at least 480x320. Darkon, it will work.

What's your team looking like? I'm in my fourth season with Leicester too. Think I'm about 7th or 8th but I've been quite lucky, my team's play hasn't really merited that position at all.

I got really lucky for my 4th season with some of the transfer listed players and ppayers I could get on the cheap aswell as getting taken over. I finished 1st on goals scored and once youve won the league its fairly easy to retain. In Season 9 I was unbeaten in every competition (club champ, super cup, league, league cup, fa cup, champs league, charity shield)until League Cup final when two of my players got sent off in 1st half and we lost 4-0 in extra time. Then I ended up losing 3 in the league and losing champs league final. I thought for the first time I'd go unbeaten for a season with a squad average age of 21.
MrSpaM Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 Completely walked the championship in my first season with Leicester, now i'm just over half way through the next season in the premiership and have been relegation fodder for the entire thing. Does anybody have any tips on the player training side of things? all my players ever seem to do is moan about the workload i'm putting them under when they are only training in one thing?!?

Does anybody have any tips on the player training side of things? all my players ever seem to do is moan about the workload i'm putting them under when they are only training in one thing?!? I took ages making training schedules when I first got the game for each position/role I use in my main tactics and have used the same since, not really tinkering since I found a good balance. My player's moan about training workload too but I ignore them, however I rest them frequently if they struggle to keep up with the pace of the game and their condition doesn't recover properly. I also have a large squad which I rotate as much as I can to keep players fresh, so they just have to live with heavy training routines. In my experience it hasn't adversely effected the players. They need to be on a strong conditioning regime throughout the summer, it really helps for the rest of the season. Make sure your squad is fit over the festive period where there appears to be loads of games and also for the end of the season, being the fitter team can win you some points around that point which can be vital in avoiding the drop. When my squad was smaller I threw a few games against big teams to make sure my players were fit for the winnable fixtures.

Re: Training. I'd always design position specific training schedules, and one for preseason. Strength and aerobic should always be the main two things. For goalkeeping, obviously goalkeeping should be focused on the most, after strength and aerobic, and you won't need shooting at all. For defending, focus on tactics and defending, and very little attacking and shooting. Midfield is a bit of everything (you might want to design a separate defensive midfield schedule slightly more focused on defending, and an attacking one slightly more focused on attacking). Strikers is mostly attacking and shooting, with very little defending or tactics. The preseason one should be all strength and aerobic, with very little (about one or two notches each) of everything else. I'm sure you'll be able to find more in-depth guides out there on online FM guides or forums. You might want to do all this for youth players as well. It's quite tedious to make sure everyone's happy with their training. You have to first check to see if there are any players moaning. If there are, nudge the overall workload slider of that player's training schedule down a bit. Then you have to wait a week to see if it's worked or not (The last FM game I played was 2009, so this might have changed since). Keep repeating this for each schedule each week until everyone's happy (you might want to speed this process up by nudging it down a few notches at a time). If you want to get the most out of the players, you can carry on nudging the overall workload slider up, once every player is happy, one notch each week until you find a player who doesn't like his training workload, then nudge that training schedule's overall workload slider back down one notch again.
Narborough_fox Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 Australia is such an annoying place to manage! Managed to get Kisnorbo, Crespo and Rivaldo for Gold Coast United; pretty up and down season so far. Also have Danns signing on 1st May so it could be a good post-season if we reach it!
Fox_in_spain Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 Started the pentagon challenge - top of the league with fc seoul in my first season, and in the champinos league semi finals - very efficient start p.s. narborough - you say "Get well soon Fabrice, Abidal, Stiliyan and Nicky. Our thought are with you all!" - i think i have missed something - who is Nicky?

Somewhat slipped under the radar! PS - Also attempting the Pentagon challenge.

If you have, you'll know you're a traitor to them . One of them started the pentagon challenge and was gangneung city, he built up a rivalry with seoul, to the pathetic degree they spammed their wikipedia page

However, the opportunity to win the Asian Champions League in 3 months (which I have now done) was too good to pass up! I have resigned now though, so my conscience is clear again! UPDATE - Have now taken the Santos F.C. job (not Brazil, South Africa). 13th in the League, 450,000 to spend...could be worse!! 2nd UPDATE - Just two games into my new job, I got offered a job with the top team of the South African League, with a 5 million pount transfer budget! How could I refuse? Das Ich (German for "The Ego" ) is now manager of Mamelodi Sundowns!

Never understood the pre-season training schedule. I just use my usual ones, and have never had any match fitness issues. On the contrary, I feel that because you often have to set match preparation work load to very high, I tend to train my players on their regular schedules to keep key stats from dropping. When it comes to players complaining, it is almost only down to their professionality attribute which is hidden. Research has gone into the personality description that you see on the player info/report page, which you can see here: http://www.neoseeker...-personalities/ As you say, if they complain, the overall workload should be lowered a bit (I don't bother when they're unhappy about not spending enough time on match prep, which I always set to very low when formations are fully trained). However, this is often not very practical if you don't have individual training schedules for each player, as it will reduce the workload for ALL players on a particular schedule. So in short, set professional players to high workload schedules (if their injury proneness isn't too bad. You physio will tell you on the player training page if this is the case), and put less professional players on medium schedules.
Simmsy Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Struggling for consistency with my Huddersfield team in the championship. In the play-offs at the minute but struggling for consistency. Beat Norwich 3-0 at Carrow road inbetween losses to QPR and Wigan (both at the Galpharm.) I then smashed p'boro at London Road (hattrick from my CB thanks to a corner, a shotton through and a penalty the other players stepped aside for) and then a loss to Colchester away. Been a bit like this all season after a good start.
Fox_in_spain Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Finished my first full season in the Pentagon Challenge. Won the SA FA Cup, so have qualified for Africa's Europa League. It will take me a bit longer to win the Champions League at Sundowns than it did at Seoul. However, there are promising signs - I have a FANTASTIC young CB named Siyanda Xulu. 20 years old, player of the season, one of my top scorers as well! The future's bright, the future's blue and white yellow and green.
