Fox92 Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Back into football manager again. Just hit January 2020, and I've only lost two games (West Ham, away and Manchester City, home). Sitting second in the league, so hopefully if I can continue form and finally reach my dream of making Leicester City a Champions League team. Also in the semi finals of the Coca-Cola Cup, and haven't played my FA Cup match against Cardiff City, yet. Last three results: beat Arsenal at home 3-0, beat Chelsea away 1-3, and also beat Liverpool away in the quater finals of the Cup, 0-1. Happy days.
Bugg Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Stoke are such a good team to play as on this game. Palacios, Crouch and Pennant still bossing it in my 3rd season. Pennant got 25 assists in the league last season and Crouch notched 20 goals. Although, due to me losing my last game to champions Manchester City I narrowly missed out on 7th place and a Europa League place. My current team looks like this: Asmir Begovic Vedran Corluka (£2million) - Ryan Shawcross - Danny Wilson (£3million compensation) - Dodo (£2million) Jermaine Pennant - Ki Sung-Yong (£3million) - Wilson Palacios - David Templeton (£500k) Luuk De Jong (Free) - Peter Crouch A lot of my transfer budget has gone on future stars, but I also picked up a few great players who are on my bench such as Jan Mucha, Jermaine Defoe, Matt Phillips, Marcus Berg, Tom Cairney and a few others. My aim is to challenge for a Europa League spot again (but actually get Europa league this time).
Ozwin Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Just did the quadruple with Leicester, well quintuple if you count the Super Cup thing. Now I'm going to revamp the squad and give a load of 21/22 year olds starts instead of my trusty 29/30 year olds who did the quad.
Simmsy Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Can anyone reccomend a good assistant manager for a championship team. 2nd season, got promoted with Huddersfield but Terry McDermott just wouldn't discuss a contract.
Libertine Dream Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 New January transfer Patch came out at 7! Who will people be when/if they start again?
munf1987 Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Going to start a new game with Leicester i think with the update but my Spurs game is going well and just about to start my 5th season
Simo86 Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 New January transfer Patch came out at 7! Who will people be when/if they start again? I've started with Napoli. They have some excellent individuals but a piss poor squad to be honest. I'll soon work my magic
BigAL88 Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 city's starting transfer budget in the update is shocking
Fox92 Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Just moved into Feburary 2020 and still sitting second in the Premier League with Leicester! Also, in the first knockout round of the Europa League (won it last year), got Bolton in the 5th round of the FA Cup but sadly got knocked out of the semi-finals of the Coca-Cola Cup (lost the first leg 4-0, but won the second leg 3-0). Can anyone reccomend a good assistant manager for a championship team. 2nd season, got promoted with Huddersfield but Terry McDermott just wouldn't discuss a contract. When Derek Fazsackley left me, he retired, I went for Jamie Redknapp as my assistant. He is still my assist by the way, after about 6 years.
BigAL88 Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 12.2.0 is the latest . it update automatically on steam took 30 seconds

Simmsy Posted 9 March 2012 Posted 9 March 2012 Managed to get that Carlos Fierro kid from Chivas for my championship Huddersfield side! He's just turned 18 and he's rated the same as Rhodes, Wood and Wright-Phillips by all my coaches. I just hope I stick to the save long enough to reap the rewards.
Fox92 Posted 9 March 2012 Posted 9 March 2012 Coca Cola Cup? I still refer to it as the Coca-Cola Cup, don't know why

General Smuts Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Stevenage are quality on the update. Luke Freeman is an animal on the left. Signed Tresor Kandol, Mike Grella (goal machine), Abu Yakubu and Herita Illunga. Also picked up Taft and Norburn on frees. Chuks Aneke, Jackson Ramm and Marcello Trotta on loans as cover. Currently lying in 1st after 11 games.
General Smuts Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Just got Paul Pogba and Davide Pettrucci on emergency loans of 3 months to provide cover and competition in midfield.
AjcW Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 First season with Napoli League Cup Champions League... Literally cant believe it... haven't stopped running about for the last half an hour!!
casablancas Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 You know your playing football manager when: - you win 7 on the spin with city. - you loose to arsenal and arshavin and chamachk score. - andy Carroll is top scorer for Liverpool with 16 in 25.

He still hasn't reached 25 goals for them in 3½ seasons here. Gotta love how realistic it turns out at times, despite the mad moments
Stadt Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 Can anybody help me with sorting out downloading megapacks?
DB11 Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 Can anybody help me with sorting out downloading megapacks? There is a good guide here: http://www.fmscout.com/a-fm-2012-cut-out-faces-megapack.html
Lovejoy Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 My centre back Victor Ruiz has just managed to get his fourth red card in 39 starts for me. Transfer list material I think. Won the Champions League second season, however having a poor third season, even facing a fight to advance through the group stage in Europe. One plus has been the form of my £21m summer signing Alex Oxlade-Chaberlain, however my other marquee signing Iker Muniain is struggling to get going so far.
