Just started as City.

Got 10 mill to spend, suggestions on players please??

If he's still at Doncaster, Billy Sharp was awesome for me. Scored 30 goals every season in the Championship.

When I got promoted, I had Sharp and Ebanks-Blake up front

I can remember one of the first Football Managers I had for my PSP before I lost it. I had a Keogh & Sharp patnership in the Championship and when I won the Premier League lol

I think it was 08 but Sharp was just so pathetically good for Sheff Utd. Hit like 40 a season.

That always happens with me, I get promoted with a really good side, only to be Predicted as the worst side in the league :P

I've got a good team, nowhere near the best in the league but also nowhere near 22nd. Team spirit seems to play an obscenely big part, I've stuck the pre-match training on teamwork ever since I got there and it seems to do the trick.

Also agree with Ashley, what's Vardy like on 12? lol Everyone seems to rave about him on it. On this 11 update he's utter shite. To be fair, at the time this database was made, Fleetwood had just signed him from Stocksbridge, he's totally outperformed expectations.

So...my first African Champions League campaign has started.

In the preliminary round, I beat a decent Egyptian side 5-0 on aggregate, including a 0-4 win away at Port Said.

Unfortunately, however, I have been drawn against ASEC Mimosas of the Cote d'Ivoire in the First Round - the same team who i lost the African Confederations Cup final to (in the Final, I lost the first leg 4-0, before winning my home tie 3-0 :( ). A cruel twist of fate....

To be continued....

Won the title at forest with 6 games to spare

Pablo Mouche is a ****ing beast up front mind, 32 goals and 18 assists in all competitions (27 & 15 in the league). Not bad for a £500k signing from Boca.

lol

Your formation makes a perfect number 2.

Hidden message that you're shit?

;)

lol tight! How are you getting on with Fleetwood now? I got them to League 1 before getting bored and moving to Huddersfield. Vardy was quality in the BSP and League 2.

Amazing really, I came 2nd in League Two (which is still class but I lead until the last day which was annoying) and I was handed a dreadful budget in L1. £0 again and £32k a week to spend on wages, I was already spending £24k.

So I've done my usual, sign a load of youngsters on frees and a few released players from other L1 clubs who I feel could do a job and wow haven't they just? I'm only 3 league games in but I've already won 0-3 at Swindon, 2-4 at Middlesbrough in the League Cup (they're in L1 too) and sensationally won 1-2 at Fulham who had a strong side out.

I've gone attacking every single game for over 3 years now and it's brought me nothing but success.

I think I'll come about 12th this season but I just have a feeling I'll struggle to build on that next year as our finances are utter tosh, I'm still relying on chairman cash injections and we're still £1mil in the red, horrendously run club considering I've not once spent more than my budget says so.

I want to take them as far as I really can to be honest, don't see myself getting bored at this rate. :) How's Hudders?

Youve got a lot of patience!

I spend about 2 hours on pre season, build a squad i think will win the leauge then loose my first few games and just end up turning it off lol

Really struggling with Salisbury in the Championship on the handheld version. I'm in 2017/18 any player suggestions? Tactics, anything.

Posted

Kinda bored so trying to avoid all my usual signings and type of players. Wouldn't normally bother with a slow striker at all and tend to play very intricate systems.

But got Jelle Vossen playing as a treq with Erick Torres running off him as a poacher and they are setting the league on fire. Brilliant.

I've already started building a youth side. I play a 4-1-1-3-1 formation.

RB CB CB LB

CDM

CM

RAM CAM LAM

ST

I currently have Spearing, Wilshere, Chamberlin, Rooney, Walker.

Trying to build a England youth squad also picked up a Germany U21 keeper who is currently 5 stars rating for £7M! £20K a week. Bargain!

Who are you Ash, Leicester? I'm currently languishing in 14th place after 27 games :nono:

Yes mate. To easy now I think. Might start again.

I'm patient enough with the laptop. It won't even run FM12 and to be honest if I play it, flicking through the game and the internet for about 3 hours (for example) I'll only get through 6/7 games, like I say this is flicking between the internet too but it's just stupidly slow, I think it's pretty old though to be honest so could really do with a new one.

When I start a game I just make sure I won't get bored, and to be honest whilst I'm not an expert - I very rarely fail at the game nowadays, then again that depends what you call a failure. lol

Literally think I'd have got through absolutely years with a quicker laptop, the lack of speed actually puts me off it and only go on it occasionally when I'm online (which is too often) as a result.

Just a side note about him, he was in the Fulham team I won at with Fleetwood, just to give you an idea of the calibre of player in the team that I won away at with a side predicted 24th in League One. [/gloating] :D

Haha that did my head in. Every year with fail I'd presented with a trasnfer budget of £0 and wage budget of only a few grand more than I was already on. It's a good challenge though, much more enjoyable playing with the smaller teams.

Not bad, I only left because I thought Huddersfield had a better of chance of getting to the prem and staying there, although Fleetwood managed to take 4 points off me when I played them during the season lol. Managed to get promoted though whilst Fleetwood stayed up by the skin of their teeth.

Sound like you're in the same situation to me regarding the computer. If mine wasn't so slow I'd be on the game near enough everyday, but it's too frustrating, especially when it crashes without saving anything!
