Salieri Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 I swore I wasn't gonna buy it this year as I have too many other things I need to be concentrating on. BUT, I just can't resist it. Ah well, I've never had much in the way of willpower, off to purchase and download now...
The Doctor Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 Really not sure - not feeling the demo (although I never really felt the demo) and having to re-install steam to play the game isn't good news. Might give this a miss.
Salieri Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 I don't know what peoples problem with Steam is? I've never had any problems with it, find it really easy to use and like the way it automatically updates the game along the way. Downloading it now, seems to be downloading quicker than the demo did!
coale39 Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 Box art is for dinosaurs. Downloading off Steam is the future. Screw you moaners. I <3 Steam. You pay a £7.50 premium though for that... http://www.365games.co.uk/pc-games/football-manager-2012-game
Salieri Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 Finished downloading, took about 1 hr 20 mins, not too bad. Shame can't play it till tomorrow.
AjcW Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 Downloading it now, seems to be downloading quicker than the demo did! I thought that! Mine took about 10 minutes! And i like that its installed and I dont have to worry about it and the second midnight comes its mine. Yes I could of got it slightly cheaper elsewhere, but I am getting it earlier and I would of spent money getting it from elsewhere(either postage or going and picking it up)

Ozwin Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 Right, Ricey, no offence but your company are robbing bastards. Me and my brother have to buy two seperate games to be able to play this fvcker now because the code can only be used once. Absolutely down right ridiculous. We're either going to have to wait and see if a crack comes out or something or just pirate the game downright. So it's not really getting rid of piracy at all and I'm sure there's many others in the same position. Edit: Why not let the user have 3 installs on their IP address or something? Ozwin Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 At least EA give you the chance to buy an online code for like a tenner, that wouldn't be so bad I guess.
Schlupp Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 Still shouldn't need too.
Ozwin Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 Oh aye, definately. But at least they have the excuse of making a bit of money through second hand sales.

Just use the same Steam account. Install it on your computer and then install it on your brothers. Ozwin Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 Not if we both want to play it at the same time. Which we will, cos well it's FM, we're bound to.

It does, just one of you won't be logged into Steam. As long as you get your game started and then your brother starts his after it will work. leicester4life Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 just have one of you play in steams offline mode, simple, doesn't need to be worrying about who signs in first, long as one of you plays it in offline mode on steam its all gravy. The Doctor Posted 20 October 2011 Share Posted 20 October 2011 A solution to a problem that shouldn't exist though - why not like '09 where you had an activation license for 5(?) computers per disk.
