Bilbo Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 So there I was after a day of drinking, eating and losing at board games when I got home to enjoy the day's goals from the Championship however I nearly launched my sky box out of the window as I thought it hadn't recorded the programme as it was nowhere to be found. I later learned that is wasn't on!!! What is the BBC playing at not having the programme run at one of the busiest times in football? Apparently it isn't running on the 31st or the 2nd either. What a joke!
Kitchandro Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 That is a joke, the BBc are really pissing me off these days. Is it too much to ask for me to relax and watch the Football League goals from the comfort of my sofa when I get home? Apparently so. There were some great games on yesterday as well.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Online only from tomorrow it said at the end of MOTD
Corky Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 They could've shown a selection of the best goals from the FL on MOTD in place of Stoke v Villa, which was truly abysmal.
Bilbo Posted 27 December 2011 Author Posted 27 December 2011 Online only from tomorrow it said at the end of MOTD Cheers mate, it seems really strange that they would do this. At first I thought that maybe due to budget constraints they couldn't cover so many matches in such a short space of time but to go to all the effort of covering the matches and then just host the programme online seems ludicrous! Also on the 2nd in it's place they have put "Point Break"!! Surely more people want to watch all the goals for their respective teams rather than Keanu Reeves ponce about on a surf board from 1996!
Mack Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 This is all to do with the cuts the BBC are having to make along with the relocation from London to Salford. Both of which are bollocks in my opinion.

Both of which are bollocks in my opinion. no it'll be a contractual thing with the Football League, they don't have the same deal with the FL that they do with the PL
The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 It is shocking. It's bad enough when it is on that its 1150pm start time. The BBC want to appeal to the middle class more than the working man. Too much impetus on costume dramas, strictly come dancing and Wimbledon. They do put some utter crap on. That tv show pointless- the name describes the show really, or what about that shite program wipeout? There are two good non sport programs from the BBC, top gear and frozen planet (and other series')
Yojoe36 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Fvckers. Can I have my money back now? Everything on the BBC is pure garbage, and we pay for it. They don't even broadcast the shows which people actually want to watch. Give the rights to ITV... Sky are awesome ( ) They show all the goals at 7. Sky is the shit
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 It wouldnt have shown the Beckford possibly through on goal which could have been a red anyway, thats what i want to see again.
Guest Bilo Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 @bbc_manish Manish Bhasin it's a budget decision i'm afraid...But all the goals will be online on the BBC Football website.. Could be reading it incorrectly but I think this tweet only pertains to last night and that the FL Show will be back soon. Bloomin' hope so anyway.
Kitchandro Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 So they cut the best stuff they have on the channel. Great.

Unfortunately it's not on for the 31st December or 2nd January so who knows when it will be back!

Sky is the shit Yeh but the bloke getting excited about standing up in front of a screen instead of the usual sitting down really winds me up. The Football League show has it's flaws but 'Goals Express' is just not the same. Plus, Sky is the devil and I hate having to watch stuff on there
Yojoe36 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 The Football League show has it's flaws but 'Goals Express' is just not the same. I do agree with you, but at least sky show the damn goals. They also have 'Netbusters', which I never watch.

Bilbo Posted 27 December 2011 Author Posted 27 December 2011 24 hours later and they're still not. They're not on until tomorrow morning.

I really like "The Football League Show" It's the closest thing to a "Match of the Day" type programme for the lower leagues. Overall I prefer BBC coverage of Football compared to Sky, ESPN or ITV which is why I'm so pissed that it's not on over Christmas. The BBC just give me what I want i.e. the highlights with a bit of analysis done in a simple professional way. I don't need graphics or huge touch screens (Sky) which are totally pointless in my opinion.
Bert Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Yes, they're having cuts but they can still afford Hansens £40k appearance fee for when he's on MOTD.
Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Cynical decision really this is what happens when you are not in the prem, you are treated as a second rate.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Next episode 14th Jan says manish
cc_star Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 The Football League No-Show http://theseventytwo.com/football-league/championship/2011/12/27/the-football-league-no-show/ You can make a polite complaint here https://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/forms/?reset=#anchor but please read the above blog post first so you know roughly the facts If you don't let the Beeb know how you feel then what's the point in moaning
