Top cop Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 We are just shocking. We will not attract any quality because we are fundamentally flawed as a club. How long before the Thais up and run?
Revilo Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 if we cant attract a player who plays for a club 23rd in the league then seriously who can we get?
Matt Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 if we cant attract a player who plays for a club 23rd in the league then seriously who can we get? Again take of the tinted glasses, and ask the question are we really much better? Marginly perhaps, it's debateable though, but it's not exactly a huge jump up is it?
Top cop Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Can we not close this thread now? It's embarrassing
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Wasted a week in the transfer market with this arsehole from sheffield, but its been on the cards all week, why did he F-- us about like this, after all there aint a host clubs lining up to sign him, as nugent describe him "a six yard tapper in"
ajthefox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Don't blame him, we're not getting promoted this season unless there is some kind of minor miracle so he's much better off simply waiting for summer when he'll no doubt have more options available.

Marginly perhaps, it's debateable though, but it's not exactly a huge jump up is it? ye i agree with you we arent much better than doncaster but we should be thats what is frustrating. who can we get in this window who actually wants to play for us?
Bettsj2 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Dont blame him whatsoever. Come to Leicester and get abused every game or stay at Donny and get bummed
Revilo Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Dont blame him whatsoever. Come to Leicester and get abused every game or stay at Donny and get bummed coming to us would ruin his career at the minute

Bettsj2 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 coming to us would ruin his career at the minute Definitely
liamsm Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Dont blame him whatsoever. Come to Leicester and get abused every game or stay at Donny and get bummed Depends if has got any vaseline
surrifox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Know someone who used to be on the board and said that Sharp wanted more than Beckford who is on 30,000 per week. if true then I am glad he's not been signed - feck him we can do better for that sort of wedge
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 "Lcfcstu" why would you not think that billy sharp isnt coming? Everything has been agreed, the only thing that could possibly turn his head is that he realises how much donny need him and how the fans love him!? Come on, why would he? We're nothing special.
surrifox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Billy sharps a striker ! we need 2wingers a creative midfielder and a centre half. Not heartbroken he's not coming. you will not get them signed in January. So wait until the summer, back the manager to sign his players and give him a chance - dont sack him after a shaky start and replace him athe end of september - simples
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 coming to us would ruin his career at the minute Career ? what at Doncaster, your are having a laugh
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Come on Nigel,Get this bum out of your mind lets try for Cox / Maynard imo bother better than B.S.
eaststandtom Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 bill sharp can afford to wait til the end of the season then take his pick from the promoted clubs
cairnsy Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I dont blame him for not joining us. Im just worried if we dont have a plan B and panic buy in the last couple of days...
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 bill sharp can afford to wait til the end of the season then take his pick from the promoted clubs So you think hes a premiership player do you?
roversred Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 So it look's like Billy's staying with us after all..We are suprised as you.I have been debating on this thread from a Rovers point of view since you agreed the fee and up to know thought to a man you were a decent bunch.. However some of your comments tonight about him being a bum and unambitious have frankly shown him he made the right descision... Some of you forget the man has just lost his son and has to deal with the awful emotion's this entails. However during this time he been touched with the support our club gave him,the fans have been raising money to help him start a foundation to raise awareness for the illness that took his sons life.Even though the rumour was he was joining you Monday he was still presented with a cheque by the fans towards this today... In return it looks like Billy has decided to stay till the end of the season to try and help us stay up.... I would have thought that seen as though a lot of you moan about the fact that players are just coming to Leicester for the massive wages you are paying, you would appreciate a player who is prepared to sacrifice thousands a week to help his club.. Maybe just maybe if you supported a few of your players rather than nail them to the wall like what i have read about Wellens and Mills you might get a bit more out of them... Of course there are many great posters on here who i have interacted with this week, and to those i wish Leicester good luck for the remainder of the season,to those who seem to think Leicester are the next Man City and players should just arrive from small unambitious clubs like ours at your say so,i hope this has given you a reality check......

Well said, too much bloody moaning, no we aren't doing great but this is our club and we should get behind the lads, it doesn't do anyone any good for the self esteem and confidence by getting ribbed and slagged off all the while. Some of us fans are so bloody fickle it irritates the crap out of me. Pearson inherited Svens team albeit with a few of his old players whom have been playing and training Svens way, for gods sake they can't go sleep one night and wake up the next doing everything nigels way with ease, it takes sodding time. As for Billy, he sounded a great character and I can't blame him for rejecting us but we aren't exactly the first club in history to get rejected by a player, and don't think nige and his team will have been putting all eggs in one basket, that ain't how it works. Time will tell and I have confidence things will turn around, with the addition of new players or not.

I'm not being funny, but any club would act in the same way towards their player if it were to happen to one of their children. (touchwood it won't)
