So it look's like Billy's staying with us after all..We are suprised as you.I have been debating on this thread from a Rovers point of view since you agreed the fee and up to know thought to a man you were a decent bunch..

However some of your comments tonight about him being a bum and unambitious have frankly shown him he made the right descision...

Some of you forget the man has just lost his son and has to deal with the awful emotion's this entails. However during this time he been touched with the support our club gave him,the fans have been raising money to help him start a foundation to raise awareness for the illness that took his sons life.Even though the rumour was he was joining you Monday he was still presented with a cheque by the fans towards this today...

In return it looks like Billy has decided to stay till the end of the season to try and help us stay up....

I would have thought that seen as though a lot of you moan about the fact that players are just coming to Leicester for the massive wages you are paying, you would appreciate a player who is prepared to sacrifice thousands a week to help his club..

Maybe just maybe if you supported a few of your players rather than nail them to the wall like what i have read about Wellens and Mills you might get a bit more out of them...

Of course there are many great posters on here who i have interacted with this week, and to those i wish Leicester good luck for the remainder of the season,to those who seem to think Leicester are the next Man City and players should just arrive from small unambitious clubs like ours at your say so,i hope this has given you a reality check......

Absolutely fuvking spot on! Some of you cretins take note.

Don't tar us all with the same brush. We lost today and all the clowns are out in force. I don't blame him for not coming it's nice to see a bit of loyalty. Plus I'm not sure he's what we need anyway.

Definitely hit the nail on the head there.

So, how much is a Donny season ticket these days? Do you have to be a miserable sod for 90mins or are you open to other people's opinions about the game? :P:ph34r:

The sad thing is that he's no better than Beckford. We're just pinning our hopes on buying the league to him. We'll regroup in the summer. This season is over unfortunately.

Well said! And Billy is a credit to the game! Every club has its moaners, as fans we have been through the mill and back regarding emotions, and most of us wear our hearts on our sleeves, we all still see ourselves as a premier league team, despite a near 10 year absence, and we are desperate as many are, to return to the glory land! It just seems we take one step forwards and ten back, even with cash behind us things don't go to script!

Tbf if Saunders said that Sharp couldn't agree terms, then maybe we'll just offer him a better deal and he'll still come. I hope so anyway because I think a player with his personality and work-rate is just what we need.

Smoke screen! I've been told he will sign before Wednesday unless something changed today which could only be our shit result I will still keep believing it! My friends being right so far. I do know that Sharp is not bothered about the money so people that think he's holding out for more cash are wrong this guy would play for the same as what he's on at Donny if he thought it was a right for him he is a top bloke.

Why would sharp say on twitter he would try and "correct it next week" if he was joining us, unfortunately I think he will remain with donny now untill the seasons end.

Well, as others have said, he has said on his Twitter he will put it right next week, whilst wearing a Donny shirt, not and LCFC one.

Disappointed I didn't get us the 3 points today, will do my head in all night, but I'll put that right next week.

------------------------------------------

dont say outright will put it right for donny..

DS said it straight away also so our game would have had no bearing on teh matter as they wouldnt have even known

I know people will say I'm saying this as he has now indicated he's not coming, but is sharp the type of striker we need?

Look at the teams at the top of the division, they both have players that have a physical presence play up top for them. Then take a look at both Norwich and QPR from last season they had the same.

Even yesterday our centre backs struggled with Andy Gray(who is poor, but strong).

They ball just come back to quickly and not having the option of a target man makes us predictable and easier to defend against.

We don't need Sharp what we need are : TWO wingers, a playmaker, a defensive midfielder, mobile target man, and a CB.

No, no, no, no.

Why wait till the summer to regroup?

You've said it yourself in your post, 'This season is over', so why not treat this transfer window getting in the player you want to build the team with, get the playing together now, gelling now, getting a good team spirit and hopefully some winning mentality?

Granted this transfer window is shorter than the summer, and it's easier said than done but lets ship the deadwood out before the rot sets in and go somewhere towards reabuilding this team, even if we go half way towards rebuilding now and finish the puzzle in the summer there will be no excuse for the players not gelling or settling in.

We have to be ruthless.

Do you honestly think NP has the balls to get rid of the deadwood i.e Wellens, Gallagher, Howard etc this January I somehow don't see it in all honestly we are stuck with this shite for some time yet.
