Sky Sports sources understand Doncaster Rovers striker Billy Sharp has a £1.85million release clause in his contract which becomes effective on 1st January.

Southampton bid 3.5million for him but sharp wants to stay living local with his family in Sheffield. He didn't want to go.

I think he just's love playing football and only lives 25mins away but he could drive to Leicester every day its not far.

I'm not too bothered if we get him tbh. I mean I wouldn't turn my nose up at him, he's a good goalscorer, but he's not an exceptional talent or unique, nor will he be a season changer because of the position he plays in.

"Schlupp" why wouldn't you want a Player with such an impressive goal scoring record, also he shines at clubs that are not doing very well so he will fit straight in
