Dan Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 £1.85mil, well that effectively rules us out, there has got to be a side who'd pay that who are currently more attractive than us.
ithuriel Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 If Pearson want's him then it is all down to the negotiation's. Remember when Lennon came here we we're struggling in what was then the first division and Atkinson had been in for him for Coventry who we're in the Premier league. He came here because O'niell made him feel more wanted.
NewquayFox Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 And Lennon came to Leicester because Martin O Neill climbed through the Coventry hotel window Lennon was staying in and told him Cov were shite and he would carve out a great future during his time at Leicester and after.... ;0) Keep The Faith.... 2012 will be better...

Is that true?
NewquayFox Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Sure is, and before we get the `HP Sauce` bottles out i drank with Lennon back in his time at City......
bluearmyfox23 Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 If the transfer is less we could possibly offer more wages ?
Dr The Singh Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 I like him, but he requires decent service
flowwolf Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 I like him, but he requires decent service Perhaps you could wait on him or give him a game of tennis then.
lcfc_amie Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Just seen on ssn, we've had an undisclosed offer for him rejected.
LCFC FOX Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Just seen on ssn, we've had an undisclosed offer for him rejected. really Hope we do get the lad
dave_the_fox Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Just seen on ssn, we've had an undisclosed offer for him rejected. Here we go again!!!!!
lcfc_amie Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 really Hope we do get the lad Yep, it's the 1st thing that comes up under championship I think we might just be testing the water with this bid though. See if we could be cheeky and get him at a lower price than his release clause. I expect us to go in with another bid in the next few days.
Tielemans63 Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Just seen on ssn, we've had an undisclosed offer for him rejected. Glad to see the bid was undisclosed. We should have been doing this in the summer. It would have been better for guys like Mills and Beckford if their fees hadn't been made public.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Have heard, that we have made a bid for Sharp likely to be accepted in the next few days.
m00nie Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Just seen on ssn, we've had an undisclosed offer for him rejected. if he has a clause for 1.85 and we offer that surely they need to let him talk to us? or we have offered less which is a waste of time again..
Salieri Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 if he has a clause for 1.85 and we offer that surely they need to let him talk to us? or we have offered less which is a waste of time again.. That's what I thought. It's common knowledge that there is a fee that meets a release clause so if we've been knocked back then we must have offered less. They're not going to accept less than the set fee so why fvck about?
m00nie Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 the clause kicks in on Jan the 1st ohhh. its only a couple of days away, and he cant move till then anyway, so why they pissing about still.. gona be a long transfer window, it aint even opened and theres things going off already
RizLCFC Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2080541/Leicester-City-want-Billy-Sharp.html Leicester to make January swoop for Doncaster's Sharp shooter By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER Last updated at 10:52 PM on 30th December 2011 Comments (0) Share Leicester are to make a renewed bid for Doncaster Rovers striker Billy Sharp after learning he has a £1.85million release clause that kicks in from January. Wigan have also shown interest while Southampton are likely to switch attention back to Coventry striker Lukas Jutkiewicz. Doncaster’s Giles Barnes is wanted by Burnley and Ipswich.
acooling08 Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 If Sharp were to come to us I can't see him doing well with the midfield we have.
James18 Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Not quite sure why we want to spend a lot more money on a striker when we have two perfectly good Chamionship starting strikers already, fair play if we signed a back-up but it's are midfield that needs addressing, not our attack. Nugent is doing just fine and Beckford is the type of striker that needs good delivery to perform to his highest standards.

Vassel is out for the season Schlupp is a youngster still learning Waghorn is injured Howard is past it Beckford is yet to do the business Nugent is good but not prolific.
