As I said, a back-up striker would be ok, but our two starting strikers are good enough when they have a decent midfield behind them. The reason they have, as you've put it, yet to do the business or not prolific enough is because of the crap they are playing with.

I'm yet to be convinced and Pearson seem's likewise otherwise he would not be in the market for a striker, which you can't blame him since it is his job on the line. Also it is a bit pointless wasting money on an inferior striker, you buy something equal or better and then let them fight it out for those spot's in the first team.

This is highly stupid. What's the point in making this public and in offering less than the release clause? Undisclosed? Irrelevant if the clause is there!
