Bugg Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 I don't understand people saying Abe had a poor game. I thought he played well today. King had a shocker today, Wellens was better than he's currently been so credit where it's due. We should have had a penalty at the end, seen the replays, stone wall pen.
acooling08 Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Schlupp was a million times better than Beckford today. I forgot that strikers could actually jump for headers.
leicesterisme Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Schlupp was a million times better than Beckford today. I forgot that strikers could actually jump for headers. Was he? First 15 minutes he did ok, but apart from that he did nothing. I admit the service he got was poor but still. When Beckford came on he looked sharp, ran at Portsmouth defenders and caused them problems.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Schlupp was a million times better than Beckford today. I forgot that strikers could actually jump for headers. Really? He started off well enough but faded badly from the Portsmouth goal onwards.
Guest ttfn Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Was quite clearly our best defender today by a long, long way. You are wrong. This is a joke right? The defence was poor as a unit today. But Mills was pathetic.
darko2k7 Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 I wasn't that depressed untill i came on here to read some people's posts . I my self am not happy about recent form but it's posts like the ones we see on this forum day in day out over analysing and over criticising players. That i think adds to the doom and gloom felt among the supports more than the average performances .
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 First half we were actually quite good going forward but shakey at the back for their goal. 2nd Half we were shite, piss poor, awful. Thought it might get better when the scapegoat went off but it didnt, Danns isnt very good and Beckford is shocking
Happy Fox Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 So f**king frustrating, dropped points yet again.
Kitchandro Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Sadly I also have to say there was a lack of passion out there today. We look very short on confidence to put it kindly, Portsmouth were so much more aggressive and were winning almost every 50/50. We just didn't look bothered. How can it be that we don't create anything when we are desperate for a goal? There never seemed to be any urgency even late on. It's been the same in the last 3 home games. Really, really pathetic. Even our aimless long balls are getting worse.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 This is a joke right? The defence was poor as a unit today. But Mills was pathetic. If you suggest any different then you are a joke.
Kitchandro Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Really? He started off well enough but faded badly from the Portsmouth goal onwards. I agree but tbf we didn't give him the ball in the right positions enough. if we're going to play him out wide we needed to give it him in space not with his back to goal. He's also a striker really. His all round game is better than Beckford's.
lovelcfc Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 first half was good, second was awful for some parts of it it was like we were the away team they could have won it which says it all really i thought yuki played really well to be fair beckford looked good when he came on why the ref didnt give a peno for that is beyond me but we always get ****ing clueless refs so im used to it now it was like king wasnt on the pitch wellens needs to be dropped the main problem is LACK OF QUALITY.
Narborough_fox Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Wellens is shit... King isn't much better.
Mack Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Wellens is shit... King isn't much better. I was expecting this. Truth is Wellens was running that game (all be it a shit game) from midfield and when he went off we had even less clue that before. If you want to look for shit look no further than the number 5... shit passing, shit positioning, shit attitude....
James18 Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Scrap the whole midfield, Abe was good but there is better out there. The biggest cheer of the day was when Wellens came off, tells you everything really. Looking forward to getting that wankered tonight that I can't remember the shower of shite I just witnessed. Not normally one to moan, very patient and optimistic, but it's getting silly now. Would like to see how much our starting line-up cost compared to Portmouths. I can imagine it to be a quite embarrassing difference.
martyn Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 And what exactly was it that NP was supposed to bring to Leicester? Fame, fortune, the "spirit", a "team"----------? At least we got one thing stability......... we are constantly piss poor and play the least entertaining football I have seen in years. Yours speechless Mills was poor. The amount of times he got turned (1st half especially) by Futacs and Kitson was beyond a joke. Did play a couple of nice cross field passes 1st half mind. He looks dominant in the air against strikers lacking strength, but anyone who knows how to use their body and he really struggles (Bamba as well)
leicesterisme Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Wellens is shit... King isn't much better. King was far worse than Wellens today.
Guest ttfn Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 If you suggest any different then you are a joke. Yeah, fair point. You're right. Debate/conversation over.
lcfcsnow Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 My post match thoughts are the same as my pre match thoughts.
Kitchandro Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Konchesky Was quite clearly our best defender today by a long, long way.
Ozwin Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 I keep thinking we havn't had our purple patch yet, a run of wins, being the 'form team.' It's got to come soon surely? Let's do a Sunderland.
Kitchandro Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 To an extent maybe - but what about the players that were signed by Pearson during his first tenure or the ones he built his team around two, three years ago? Turds that have been lying around longer than just one or one-and-a-half seasons? With a few exceptions (Nugent, Schmeichel and probably Konchesky have done more than well over the course of the past 24 games), they're all at fault for not playing well enough and I wonder how much that has to do with being ill-coached or being totally unprofessional on an individual basis. Which Sven didn't replace with better. Pearson bought certain turds but they weren't turds 2 years ago, they were good. Now he's left with the task of replacing them, which he hasn't had a chance to do yet. All he's got as alternatives are players who don't want to be here and bloody Abe and Danns.
cardifflee Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Schlupp was rubbish nobody played well Pearsons subs...well only he knows
Narborough_fox Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 I was expecting this. Truth is Wellens was running that game (all be it a shit game) from midfield and when he went off we had even less clue that before. If you want to look for shit look no further than the number 5... shit passing, shit positioning, shit attitude.... Thing is though, he may of ran the game but he ran it so slowly there was no point in him being there. The chance he had in the first half when he took a touch when he could of whacked and in the end took to much time before laying it off to Abe (who was phenomenal) just showed how much we were lacking in creativity. Mills? Aye, his distribution is laughable. My team-mates have better distribution and he doesn't cost £5 million and isn't on 20k a week.
