kam6 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 hi all, I sit in B2 just behind the dug out and the home bench, block 7-12 or something like that. I just wanted to vent a little anger that has been burning up inside for a while about the half time refreshments services! How long do you normally wait for a coffee or beer in your Turnstile? Dec 10th 2011 vs Peterborough, My friends and i walked down before the half time whistle blew so we could get in a few cheeky beers and a pie, waiting in line for ages, the second half whistle blew, question, do we go up and waste the 15-20mins waiting in the queue, or do we hold out, not long to go now. So we waited another 10 mins. got our beer, drank it quickly and JUST managed to walk out to see Paul Gallagher score a goal! That was luck! More often then not, we are waiting ages to get served and most of the time we miss the beginning of the 2nd half. I have not been to many away games, a few each season, but i must admit, the service was alot better away than what i have experienced here. i think Cov have got the best service in terms of quick serving time. Just wanted to have a bit of feedback on other areas of the ground on their experiences, and if you have sat in the away stand at KP, what was that like? ALSO, what has happend to the betting facility??? Rant OVER
Kitchandro Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I am in K block, and never try and get food or drink at half time for the very reason that I'll miss the start of the second half. They should have the beers ready before people order them, they know people are going to want some. That takes up quite a bit of time.
Jagdinho Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I think for away fans, they flood in slowly so its easier for them. Also think they seem to have a few more staff than we do. But at home, everyone kind of comes in from 2:30 onwards. Away games the fans trickle in any time past 1:30. Also if you think B2 is hard to get served quickly, trying being in J3 area. Nightmare.

Stopped eating in the stadium there is plenty of choice outside one near the megastore one near the vauxhall garage and one even down saffron lane plus it's cheaper and tastier.
James. Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 What's a 'cheeky' beer? Term often used by younger people which may explain why you were unfamiliar with it. I went for a cheeky Bovril and pie at the Ipswich game. Straight down at the whistle and missed the first couple of minutes of the second half. That was SK2.
Vlad the Fox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I've started taking a cheeky hip flask with me.

StanSP Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Us oldies use the term 'insolent ale'. When you oldies set off at half-time to get to the concourse for your 'insolent ales', do you even make it there before the match has finished ?
Webbo Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 When you oldies set off at half-time to get to the concourse for your 'insolent ales', do you even make it there before the match has finished ? We spend all our time in the toilet.
I am Rod Hull Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Us oldies use the term 'insolent ale'. Us oldies with taste buds use the term 'amber coloured water'
kam6 Posted 3 January 2012 Author Posted 3 January 2012 FVCKING WELLENS!! I think that it may call for new measures and taking a cheeky 24 pack to the next game!
Christoph Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 They should just stop treating us like animals and let us take beer up with us, in plastic bottles like they do at rugby grounds.
StanSP Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 We spend all our time in the toilet. Us oldies with taste buds use the term 'amber coloured water' I really hope these two comments aren't in connection with each other...

MattGamble92 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 What's a 'cheeky' beer? Imagine Nigel Pearson drinking a beer then his facial expression looking exactly how it does on your picture. Thats a cheeky beer.
I am Rod Hull Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Why do they never have enough pasties? Wellens ate em all ofc... (I have now banned myself from posting Wellens name on here for a month)
Des. Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I also sit in B2 but don't ever use the services inside the ground, I get food and drink on the way to the match before actually entering the ground. The queues are always too big or take too long, which backs up your point
Corky Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I went to get a nasty, nawty little slag of a bottle of Coke once and had to wait 10 minutes For Webbo to get out of the bog.
cambridgefox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 A small glass of sherry and a puff on my pipe suits me just fine and a chance for a nap 2nd half ,ive found a spot in the stadium near the pitch which isnt noisy at all!
