foxoffderby Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 hi all, I sit in B2 just behind the dug out and the home bench, block 7-12 or something like that. I just wanted to vent a little anger that has been burning up inside for a while about the half time refreshments services! How long do you normally wait for a coffee or beer in your Turnstile? Dec 10th 2011 vs Peterborough, My friends and i walked down before the half time whistle blew so we could get in a few cheeky beers and a pie, waiting in line for ages, the second half whistle blew, question, do we go up and waste the 15-20mins waiting in the queue, or do we hold out, not long to go now. So we waited another 10 mins. got our beer, drank it quickly and JUST managed to walk out to see Paul Gallagher score a goal! That was luck! More often then not, we are waiting ages to get served and most of the time we miss the beginning of the 2nd half. I have not been to many away games, a few each season, but i must admit, the service was alot better away than what i have experienced here. i think Cov have got the best service in terms of quick serving time. Just wanted to have a bit of feedback on other areas of the ground on their experiences, and if you have sat in the away stand at KP, what was that like? ALSO, what has happend to the betting facility??? Rant OVER Is that because at Cov the staff outnumber the home fans 3/1? On a side note I dont really like our own fans mocking the name of our ground. Its the King Power Staduim not KP Nuts, or the King Prawn etc etc. Its bad enough Forest and Derby fans taking the piss ta.
Callabinho Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 It was fine for me in the kop against Pompey, had enough time for a piss and get a drink, made it back up just as the pompy players came out!
Fox92 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Don't venture down at half time for food or drink. I have been going down to urinate at half time recently though, and the toilets are usually fairly busy. (This is from where I sit every game, in the Kop).
Webbo Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I have been going down to urinate at half time recently though, and the toilets are usually fairly busy. That'd be me and Cambridgefox.
ousefox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Don't understand why anybody would pay the sort of prices they charge for food at any ground in the country! Ridiculous. Shame the betting facilities seem to have dissapeared though, very odd.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 its impossible, at any football ground to have a fag piss and a pint inside 15 mins. i just go for a fag whilst the non smokin mate gets the pints!
nothin2seehere Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Term often used by younger people which may explain why you were unfamiliar with it. I went for a cheeky Bovril and pie at the Ipswich game. Straight down at the whistle and missed the first couple of minutes of the second half. That was SK2. My older cousin used to say cheeky, I picked it up from that and still prefix a lot of stuff cheeky Meant to say Northern, not older. But he is older.

LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Leave about 5-10 minutes before end of the first half if you want anything, what i normally do
StanSP Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Our club is a joke there's no TV's working or betting it's a shit tip! TVs work fine in concourse which leads to C1...
Trav Le Bleu Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I've started taking a cheeky hip flask with me. That post has made my day.
Larry_LCFC Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Leave about 5-10 minutes before end of the first half if you want anything, what i normally do That really pisses me off though when I have to move out my seat to let a stream of fat ****ers walk by when there is like 10 minutes to go in the half. Surely you pay £30 to watch the football, not stand in a concrete concourse thinking about your stomach!
dannythefox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 TVs work fine in concourse which leads to C1... Not in the east stand not worked this season! Joke!
z-layrex Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Can't people go 2 hours without feeding their faces? Same for the cinema. Sitting there grazing like pigs.
The Doctor Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I agree with Z-layrex. I don't see why people feel the need for a half-time pie/pasty or a pint. Surely you're capable of lasting 2 hours without eating?
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I always come to every game with a flask, a little blanket and a bag of Everton mints, or Nuttals Mintoes..
jonthefox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Just get some food before you go in. Half times for fags anyway.(The smoking kind that is).
I am Rod Hull Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I`m a diabetic alcoholic though. If I dont get my pie and a pint I go all floppy...
