Finnegan Posted 11 March 2012 Author Posted 11 March 2012 That was funny. You still won't give us any credit will you! England are playing well, Ben Morgan (who learned his trade in Llanelli ) is having a stormer and Manu really stepped up to take his try well. You're showing a genuine willingness to attack which is refreshing. But honesty is due here, the French defence has been absolutely diabolical.

Finnegan Posted 11 March 2012 Author Posted 11 March 2012 Oh and Trinh Duc must be the most maligned player by his own nation in history. How he keeps getting dropped is beyond me, easily the best they have. Beauxis is awful and just throwing possession away. Want to see your new boy get into full flight on the wing, looks rapid.
purpleronnie Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 I hope we don't piss it away giving them fouls.
Head Honcho Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 More importantly, as a friend of mine just said. Why was Serge Betson dragging a juvenile spastic off the pitch before the game?
Guest Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Closer than I think most would've liked in the end but a thoroughly deserved win for England
ScouseFox Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Enjoyable game and a good win in the end. Deserved, too.
Finnegan Posted 11 March 2012 Author Posted 11 March 2012 Probably the best possible outcome for us, that last France try doing us a few favours. Got to lose by twenty points and see Ireland do the same next weekend to throw it away, always said it could come down to points difference and I'm disappointed we couldn't stick a couple more tries on the Italians but that should do. Obviously want to be wrong and want us to get the slam, though. Pains me to say it but well done England, almost thought it was going to be a re-run of our game against Scotland in 2010 with the undeserving side snatching it at the death.
Haydos Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Great performances from Croft and Farrell. Deserved in the end. Rolland did his best to steal the show. Inconsistent and too many bad decisions.

Finnegan Posted 14 March 2012 Author Posted 14 March 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/17359782 Well that's a load of rubbish. Cuthbert's been impressive for a young lad in his first tournament but that's a little bit over the top and Sexton has been very average. No Tommy Bowe or Leigh Halfpenny? And Parisse, as good as he can be on his day, seriously? I think he's been pretty average by his own standards this year. I feel he gets token nominations for stuff like this just for the sakes of it more than anything. Think Ben Morgan's been better than him.

Halfpenny and Bowe definitely deserve consideration.
Finnegan Posted 14 March 2012 Author Posted 14 March 2012 Seriously. Halfpenny's been in the running for man of the match in all of our games so far and I'm pretty sure Bowe is the leading try scorer of the tournament and some of his scores have been fantastic. Best winger in the Northern hemisphere right now, imo.
Bert Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Happy, Bert? . Just brilliant. Said from the start the jocks were the worst team in it, and now it's been proven so! Would love the French to halt a grand slam but I wouldn't begrudge the Welsh it, been very good this tournament. Fancy the Irish to win as well.
RonnieTodger Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Great to see Ireland hammered by England of all team on St.Pat's day.
Bert Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Just. Fuck. Off. Did Ireland turn up? Lancaster must be given the job.
Guest MattP Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Great to see Ireland hammered by England of all team on St.Pat's day. Fantastic wasn't it? Considering where we were at the start of the tournament it's been a great 6 weeks for us.
The Doctor Posted 18 March 2012 Posted 18 March 2012 **** man. Hurrah for incredibly cheap whisky today, that was embarrassing. Italy are getting better as a side, but the performance today was just so poor.
Haydos Posted 18 March 2012 Posted 18 March 2012 Absolutely destructive scrummaging for England, they really kicked it up a gear in the 2nd half. On another note, I love watching Wales and that was a cracking game.
