lcfcsnow Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Dagnall: Did you go today? Caller: No I listened on the radio. Dagnall: Who stood out for you today?
Salieri Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 He's the only person who can change things. And once again we'll bring it out 'Only weak people feel pressure' Is Mr Beckford feeling a little weak? Was a stupid quote and is now coming back to haunt him. He must be feeling the pressure now and it's gonna get a whole lot worse unless he remembers how to put the ball in the net very soon. I desperately want him to 'come good' but it's just not happening for him at the moment and i'm beginning to wonder if it ever will.
Guest shearfox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Beckford is like Yakubu but without the goals...
cc_star Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 I see the ****** are all out on the call in again "get rid of beckford, he`z dun nuffin for us" Bunch of vvankers who should fvck off and follow man u and stick to FBM.... Fvcking kids.... But what actually has he done for us? sometime I see the quality, but quality is nothing without hardwork, just look at the great teams like Barca... ManU & Chelsea in their title winning years, there is no hiding place in winning teams everyone has to work. If players are not willing to change their attitude to work, then they themselves will need changing. Anyone can be unlucky in front of goal (I've defended Beckfords poor scoring record a lot), but his lack of interest in marking up & tracking back is a key reason why opposing players have so much more of the ball than they should, if he made an effort to close a defender down, they'd get rid of the ball rather more hastily & there is a greater chance the opposition attack would break down. I'm not on about him putting himself about like Hume or someone, just a bit of effort would go a long way. If he's not going to work for us, then what's the point?

Red_Dog Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Well your strikers are even worse than ours! Only our 2nd clean sheet since October and with a teenager making his first ever Championship start at LB. Sounds like you should have scored 2nd half but were lucky not to finish with 10 men on the pitch! All to play for in 10 days time!

Don't get me wrong I want to see him come good, I don't think anyone wants to see him carry on this way but I just can't see it changing especially with the lacklustre performances and workrate. All I will say is that how long can we wait for him to come good? My patience is running out and would prefer him to be sold and replaced personally, the replacement might not work out but thats the gamble you take. Oh dear Konch - 'The pitch wasn't very good either'
I am Rod Hull Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Yeah, he's doing a good job for us isn't he, can't understand any off the slagging off. He`s not on form I agree and he can be a bit lazy but he`s a proven goal scorer and with time he`ll be banging them in for fun..... Lets sign Sharp from Donny or let Waghorn start ? We`ll make loads of chances for them..... Too many people need instant results nowdays....
L4EV Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Beckfords work rate is a MASSIVE problem. He will not run and chase, and he will not jump for headers we just can't keep playing this guy. Nugent work rate is fantastic and puts Beckford lack of effort to shame, its like playing with 10 men when Beckfords on the pitch. Pearson must be able to see this, I really hope that lazy get has played his last game in a city shirt. So do I
The Doctor Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Dagnall: Did you go today? Caller: No I listened on the radio. Dagnall: Who stood out for you today? exactly this - I'm fed up of "oh well dyer sounded good today" - YOU WEREN'T FVCKING THERE - SHUT THE HELL UP! Now then, why is the call-in populated by morons - "yea bekford iz shit, rightz?" - He's not one to run himself into the ground, he never has been. He's a poacher in every sense of the word, right place, right time but very little else and that right place isn't happening because of the utterly gash service. Rather than just blaming the simplest thing, why not look deeper and spot the actual problem - a complete lack of creativity through-out the team.

gazmanthegun Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Beckford is shit, loan him back to Leeds He is lazy and looks like he is not giving 100% and that is totally unacceptable

Maybe they`ll get the drift soon Al....
gazmanthegun Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Beckford is like Yakubu but without the goals... I second that
I am Rod Hull Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Proven goal scored in the third tier, yes. Top goal scorer for Everton last season.... Stay off FBM.....
Finnegan Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Oh Lloyd. Was right behind the goal, Dyer and Gally's misses were woeful. Thought Danns and Peltier were a good link up on the right.
skinnydipper Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Beckford is like Akinbiyi but without the work rate
Dames Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Beckford this, Beckford that give it a rest there are more concerns in the team. He probably wouldnt be half bad if we had a midfield capable of getting the ball down and playing the ball for him to run on to. Also Cardiff are out so if we go through we might actually have a chance of going a little further this year
MikeyT Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Pearson on Schlupp: Not looking good. Knee injury and he's having a scan on it tomorrow.
ithuriel Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 I do not normally go after players but Beckford is a player i really have little time for anymore, shame Schlupp got injured today since he has proven to be a far better player for us and has scored more than one goal. Beckfords time here i feel is now fast running out unless he can actually pull his finger out and do what he is paid to do
