MattLeics Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 I think most would agree with Lennon and Izzett, but another couple of my favs were Mark Draper and Pontus Kaamark, how i miss the days at Filbert Street!
Saxondale Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 I think most would agree with Lennon and Izzett, but another couple of my favs were Mark Draper and Pontus Kaamark, how i miss the days at Filbert Street! Good point about Draper. I was thinking earlier that he is one of our under-rated heroes. I remember the season we first went into the Prem and we were hopeless, but Draper stood out.
FoxesFan100 Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 For me it would have to be Sir Les, for his age I thought he was passed it but how wrong i was. Such a good player, as someone said him and Nugent would be awesome.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 If we could have a former player back playing as they did at their prime (so not necessarily when they were with us) then Mancini. It's that simple.
MrSpaM Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Can you imagine Walsh playing CB with Bamba Walsh would spend the whole match going absolutely mental at him!
Raj Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 We need some balls in midfield. A leader of men. Gotta be Neil Lennon
Sampson Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Definitely agree with the general opinion we need a creative midfielder who will spray long passes and through balls about to open up the opposition defence as well as being a dead ball expert. So it'd probably be Gary McAllister.
wellyfox Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Weller + Worthington = My first choice two of the greatest to wear our shirts. Or how about Richie Fvckin Wellens from two years ago when he could play a bit?????
wellyfox Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Or even Stevie Stevie Lynex Steeevie Lyyyynex on the WIIIING
wellyfox Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Heskey end of. Would not even get on the bench of an all time best city team. Alan Smith was way ahead of him and he would struggle.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Matt Piper for some width.... Failing that, David Lowe.
Thracian Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 First I'd bring in Davie Gibson. If Beckford or anyone else made a run the bloke could do so with his eyes closed cos Gibbo would flight the ball so perfectly they wouldn't have to break stride to collect it or tap it into the net. Gibbo would even spin the ball to the receiver's advantage. More than that we'd never hear another word about the merits of Wellens or anyone else when it came to ball control and its effective manipulation. I mentioned Kaspers kicks to Beckford. Gibbo could literally catch them out of the air on his boot and throw the ball where he wanted it to go without it touching the floor. The bloke would weep to see what passes for ball control nowadays. I know it's being greedy but I'd also like Derek Dougan for a cast iron guarantee of goals, of us winning a few crosses in the air and of coming away from matches with a smile on our faces cos of his impish sense of humour.
city1993 Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Junior Lewis No but seriously, I'd probably go with either Izzet or Walsh. But secretly I'd love Gerry Taggart to come back
cc_star Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Can you imagine Walsh playing CB with Bamba Walsh would spend the whole match going absolutely mental at him! Never mind head-butting Steve Bull or swiping Chris Sutton, Walsh would get a red every game for decking Bamba
