It doesn't happen. Some players are physiologically tough and physically malleable enough to "ride" or withstand all sorts of buffeting. Others are forever on the treatment table and Christie's one of em. Flatters to deceive anyway, in my view. Goals per season record?

On that bloody NORFOX.net or what ever is it. They came up with about 10 transfer targets a day. When MA announced the transfers almost none had been mentioned before. Like when we were looking for a new manager, there were about 10 names in the hat, and not one was Craig Levein. Romours are nearly always false, so I dont understand why people talk about them as if we are going to get them and how they will be good for the team. All this coming from a fat bloke in a pub with a pint in his hand saying, "aint we menna be gettin that fella?" then it just spreads round. Is it not much more likely that the players agent and a club apparatchik exchange e-mails on terms and conditions once CL has said he wants to make an offer on the player. Still best not let the facts get in the way of a good (or even mediocre) story

While they were negociating derby came in with the 50k, nuff sed. B)
