Bettsj2 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I don't understand slating Pearson for playing 'his' midfield. Firstly, Danns was in the team, and was as pointless as usual. And who else is he going to play, fatboy Johnson, little boy lost Abe and Fernandes who didn't want to be here? I'll probably be criticising him for the midfield at the end of this month is he doesn't get better players, but the fact is Sven had 2 transfer windows to get better players than Wellens, King and Gallagher, but he didn't. Even Fernandes (who I reiterate, didn't want to be here after Sven left) wasn't the world class player some on here make him out to be, he was inconsistent and shocking in some games too. His form towards the end of Sven's tenure was poor. Amazing how many people still wont accept that Fernandes only came here to play for Sven. Pearson didnt play him as he didnt want to play. Simple as that. One guy on the radio after the game said he was our best midfielder!! **** off.
Leicfox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 It seemed from that interview that nothing is NP's fault and he knew what he was getting himself into...Who thinks he said the same at his job interview ?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Ha!!! Surprise, surprise. The useless bag of manure is no "God, any more then? If Sven was bad, then he is diabolical, which of course I knew anyway. Soon be time for the headline, "Pearson Out" folks
lcfcadam Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He was spot on in saying what he said. It's a disgrace that the fans are being how they are. 5 games in people were giving Beckford shit. Wellens has to listen to it, Gallagher, Dyer, Mills, Konchesky etc etc. Why the **** do we think the players want to give us a performance just because they pay for their ticket? All this shit about how 'if I were in that position, i'd show more passion', **** off. If I got paid a million quid a day to play for City, if 25,000 people were just booing me and moaning about everything all of the time, I wouldnt want to play either. All these ****ers can wait till their contracts run out and go and play for someone else for the same money. We're stuck with the club forever so for ****s sake make the most out of it and try and be positive. I'd give anything to be able to go to every game even if it is dogshit so count yourselves lucky and stop being so ****ing negative!!! Your views are sensationally wankerish.

If you were paid 1 million pounds a day and you'd put in performances like most of those players out there today, would you sulk for a bit, but still look forward to get the money in at the end of the month or would you take the criticism to heart, change things around or even go as far as tearing up that contract because you've realized that you're not worth it? Football is a mirror of society and in hard economic times like these, I expect players to put in the extra effort for what they're paid, and/or donate a fair bit to charity or simply call it quits completely, move to a different club (in a lower league) if they're not competent enough (or not anymore).
Happy Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 MON was the only man for this job, and the Thais have made a major cock up in not bringing him in which I expected to happen when Sven was sacked, now we are stuck with NP who doesn't have the bollocks to get rid of the deadwood on the books.
Guest ttfn Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Pearson was definitely referring to the fans; the statement was made in relation to the booing. There is not one set of supporters in the division who wouldn't be disappointed to lose at home to Barnsley. If having delusions of grandeur involves expecting your team to put in a reasonable display in a home match against a side below you in the table, seeing the players on the pitch show any kind of effort and seeing the players show any kind of indication that they know each other and are coached together, then sign me up as deluded. It's not fvcking good enough. It wasn't good enough when we drew at home to Posh. It wasn't good enough when we drew at home to Ipswich. It wasn't good enough when we drew at home to Portsmouth. And it certainly wasn't good enough today. Four games that any side in the division would expect to take a minimum 7-8 points from. We've taken 3. In that time we've also lost away at Doncaster and scraped a thoroughly unconvincing win at Palace. Unless Nige is preparing us for a relegation battle, there are no delusions of grandeur here.

Do we need any better example of delusions of grandeur? MON didn't want the job for any money.

Your views are sensationally wankerish. 100% correct. Anyone who actually wants to side with the club they love and support must be a willy puller.
lcfcadam Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Oh sorry, I forgot that expecting to beat the mighty Barnsley galacticos - kings of football - is just me being deluded.
davieG Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Delusions of grandeur would be if fans were moaning at being in the play-offs and not runaway leaders, being upset with yet another pathetically inept and bumbling performance leaving us in fifteen place is not. Besides it was the owners who led the way by believing that if they shouted from the redtops load enough loads of money that we would be in the PL by May so criticising some fans who took them at their word that they could at least look forward with great expectation of a successful league campaign is disingenuous to say the least.

Speaking completely honestly, if I were on that money and took a load of shit, i'd put in less effort as a '**** you' to all thse concerned. But I am a **** though.
MattyFromLE Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 can understand why Pearson said it tbf. Some fans thought just cause we spent a few quid on players that we'd walk the league. Money doesnt always buy you success if you dont spend it wisely. This x100000000. Take note people.
Corky Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 It's not just about the result, it's about how you play. If we'd come off that pitch at the end having battered them but couldn't finish then I'd say "we were nearly there, just the final thing lacking". We never even got close to lacking the final thing. If it delusions of grandeur then fine. I just expect a bit more than to see us give the ball away carelessly and play straight into the opposition's game plan.
Bettsj2 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Do we need any better example of delusions of grandeur? MON didn't want the job for any money. THIS
lcfcadam Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 100% correct. Anyone who actually wants to side with the club they love and support must be a willy puller. Expecting people to continue cheering on their side and maintaining positivity when the squad is almost entirely composed of inept, hugely overpaid footballers, who don't even put in a decent amount of effort to try and make up for their deficiencies, is delusion of the highest order. And I never expected us to "walk the league". I DID ****ing expect us to beat Barnsley at home.
Happy Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 What the f**k is NP on about I know we aren't getting promoted but this team shows no heart at all, give me MON team of yesteryear with Muzzy, Lennon, Walsh and co how our club has gone backwards so much. Even with money we are f**king useless.

I agree, and NP must have known this. NP would do better having a meeting with the Thai's and tell them they have delusions of grandeur.

Ozwin Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Barnsley have done the double over us this season. BARNSLEY
Chap84 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 **** off Nigel the book stops with you mate, the teams playing shit = your fault! You pick the team! He is just trying to pass the book. No more excuses please sort it or go! He knew what he was inheriting when he chose us over Hull. He is full of shite and about out of his depth...
lcfcadam Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Continue booing then. Seems to be working a treat :scarf: :scarf: If people booing (which I didn't, incidentally) makes a negative difference to the performance of any given footballer playing for my team, then I want that player shipped out asap
Happy Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Blaming the Thais for the investment NP can f**king truly do one and jog off their can be no excuses he has the money and backing to do well here yet here we are 14 days in and yet no signs of getting rid of the deadwood aka Wellens!!! and getting quality in, I despair.
