fleckneymike Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Behave, this is not 07-08. Forest and Cov are nailed on for two of the relegation spots and Doncaster, Millwall, Bristol City or Ipswich could join them. Unless Pearson brings in midfield reinforcements, maybe on loan, we will finish bottom-half though. You mean the Doncaster, Milwall, Bristol and Ipswich we've taken 1 point off. All of those bar Doncaster were at home too.
Ultra Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 You mean the Doncaster, Milwall, Bristol and Ipswich we've taken 1 point off. All of those bar Doncaster were at home too. There was a connection between all those poor results (a non-existent midfield) and once Pearson has figured it out, he can start to make the improvements we keep being promised.
seenitall Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 And they shouldn't lose to Millwall 3-0 at home. He's absolutely correct, both fans and players need to get real. If people don't like the truth then tough. We've been left with a crock of shit squad wise, people can blame Pearson all they like, but we were all mostly coming to that conclusion under Sven also. Nets closing Babs - you called for the head of Sven, nailed your colours to the Nige mast and he is letting us all down. We all had to admit Sven was crap, have you got big enough balls to admit that the board screwed up and we are going backwards or are you gonna blame Sven for the next couple of years? Get over it, you got your way and it was the same result as when the idiots on here that wanted Weale back in goal hammered on - disaster. Of course Svens players dont want to play for Leicester, they moved their careers here because they believed in what he said and thought they would-be playing for a respected trophy winning and international manager, now they have a hoofball tactical numbskull who insists on playing his cronies week in week out despite their obvious failings. Lost the dressing room? Nige never had it!
volpeazzurro Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 The thing Pearson has against him that the transfer window in Jan is far harder to get layers in. Sven in the first season was so short sighted with his infinite loan signings, which was practically throwing money into the bin. Sven hardly attracted anyone of note in the summer and over spent on some players. It is a lot easier to bullshit a player about the clubs long term prospects at the start of the year when there hasn't been any games, it is a lot harder for Pearson to attract people to a side dwindling in the bottom half of the championship. Plus the clubs don't want to sell in Jan. Pearson should get as long has Sven had in charge and then judgement should be made. You're absolutely right and we don't want to be held to ransom to buy players no better than what we've got already just for the sake of it. Sven spent money like an alcoholic in an off license. Sadly, it would be better to wait until the summer. Whilst I agree with comments made regarding todays initial formation at home against a team lower than us in the table, I also think that Sven left a bunch of duffers and problems. Time will tell whether NP is the man to sort it out or not but the team he built at Hull on a fragment of the money Sven had at his disposable isn't doing too bad is it!

Don't talk sense, some will be baffled and confused whilst others will wonder if this is foxestalk forums I liked Sven but he made a mess of things. Like Nigel too and he needs time, last thing we need is knee jerk stuff and someone like Warnock walking through the door and trying to get these players performing. God, Warnock grinning with a foxes scarf is giving me the shivers
Cropwellfox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Would take Warnock in a second he wouldn't put up with shit like today
deep blue Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Would take Warnock in a second he wouldn't put up with shit like today But would he be able to replace them in a January transfer window? I think he'd have as much trouble as Pearson appears to be having. Would he be able to motivate/organise them any better? Again, I wouldn't put odds on it. He succeeded at QPR by being able to bring in his own type of players, and had the advantage of a summer transfer window and preseason.

Maybe but by now I would put money that he'd have found Richie bellends out once and for all
ithuriel Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 OMG there are people talking sense on this page
The People's Hero Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I think us paying customers are entitled to the odd delusion of grandeur. It's NP and the playing staff's delusion of competence that rankles with me. Cockbadgers the lot of them.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Do you seriously think the situation is looking good I was willing to give NP the benefit of the doubt seeing as he had this January transfer window to get rid of the deadwood and bring some quality in, but so far nothing has happened. How much more time can we give him we are looking at a lower midtable/ relegation battle I may be wrong but we didn't do much in the first couple of weeks in the summer window under sven did we? NP has seen where we need strenghtening (wingers) n by all accounts he's trying to do something about it.

THEFATBASTARD Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 pearsons comment today is a massive own goal that he will come to regret, I bet Top was well pleased to hear it..

wurmer Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 What a total bloody mess - ambiguous comments such as Pearsons tonight won't help...
ithuriel Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Oh, i thought we had gone up market in the thread titles, did not realise Nige had said that Maybe for some fans he is correct and possibly for the odd player too
Happy Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Maybe the pressure has got to him, the man has no chance now the Thais will probably sack him sooner rather than later.
shade Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Pearson was definitely referring to the fans; the statement was made in relation to the booing. There is not one set of supporters in the division who wouldn't be disappointed to lose at home to Barnsley. If having delusions of grandeur involves expecting your team to put in a reasonable display in a home match against a side below you in the table, seeing the players on the pitch show any kind of effort and seeing the players show any kind of indication that they know each other and are coached together, then sign me up as deluded. It's not fvcking good enough. It wasn't good enough when we drew at home to Posh. It wasn't good enough when we drew at home to Ipswich. It wasn't good enough when we drew at home to Portsmouth. And it certainly wasn't good enough today. Four games that any side in the division would expect to take a minimum 7-8 points from. We've taken 3. In that time we've also lost away at Doncaster and scraped a thoroughly unconvincing win at Palace. Unless Nige is preparing us for a relegation battle, there are no delusions of grandeur here. this, this and this.
Nickfosse Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Maybe the pressure has got to him, the man has no chance now the Thais will probably sack him sooner rather than later. And the history of our football club would suggest that would be a shrewd move doesn't it?
Happy Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 And the history of our football club would suggest that would be a shrewd move doesn't it? Well the Thais will do what they see is best if I am being honest NP was never the man for the job, we need someone to rip this squad apiece i.e midfield.
Kitchandro Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 All the players we got in manage to perform at a very high standard for their previous clubs. What's the difference?? BOOOOOOOOO **** this, i'm going for a Chinese. If it's shit i'm gonna brick his window. TTBF, their previous clubs were shit. Or they were reserves
Dan Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Ah, typical British/Leicester mentality striking through once again. Making something that's off the fence (even though a lot would complain if he sat on it) seem like some sort of crime against the club because he's not in your best books. Reminds me of when Wayne Brown made those truthful comments about our mediocre home atmosphere in a rival game against Coventry, opinions shot down because he doesn't have the distribution of Xavi. Bored of it all. Fvck off.

We don't owe them anything, they should be grateful for any support. I do think it's pointless getting on our backs in the middle of the geame but the stick that they get at the end is fair.
