RedHux Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Wes would be a great signing for you, and a bargain too. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned Lewis McGugan. If you could take him as well that'd be just aces.
darko2k7 Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Really don't want this to happen. PLEASE NP NO HE'S CRAP
Happy Fox Posted 21 January 2012 Author Posted 21 January 2012 Wes would be a great signing for you, and a bargain too. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned Lewis McGugan. If you could take him as well that'd be just aces. We don't need anymore central midfielders but we will take Gunter off your hands.
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Red Hux - Honest question, is he any good?
RedHux Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Honest answer, yes. He's not a player to ping you 40yard passes onto a forwards toe, but he is a very good head it/kick it CB. He can cope with the most awkward of forwards and will give everything for the cause. This season he's been exposed as our midfield is frankly dogshit and for reasons best known to himself Chambers has forgotten how to play. Wes is consistent, strong, will occasionally give away stupid fouls but on the whole is a top notch championship CB and we'll be sad to see him go. ...and you can't have Gunter. In other news, it's apparently 6 of the precious little princesses that have put in transfer requests.

ithuriel Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Should say take it or leave it at £600,000 They are the ones desperate to make cash on a player who is shortly out of contract.
Happy Fox Posted 21 January 2012 Author Posted 21 January 2012 Should say take it or leave it at £600,000 They are the ones desperate to make cash on a player who is shortly out of contract. Cannot really do that seeing as our second bid was £650,000
ithuriel Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 show them the price is going down fast, take it now
dave_the_fox Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 show them the price is going down fast, take it now I like your style!

mod hero Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 @ red-hux. What's happened to mcgugan this season? Is he like andy king, if he don't score you don't notice him?
Vlad the Fox Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 show them the price is going down fast, take it now I can remember the first ever edition of football manager used to do that to you.
Stevie Synex Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 They have an awful chant for him. You'll never beat Wes Morgan You'll never beat Wes Morgan They used to have an England defender in their ranks called Des Walker who played for them from the mid eighties until the early nineties and this was their chant for him, name changed obviously. I think they see WM as the closest thing to a quality defender since DW and hence the reason they chant his name in the same way. Unfortunately that is the only comparison I can see between the two players.
cuddly ken Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Has anyone thought WM may b a replacement for Mills? Heard a rumour that Mills was going to be dropped only for Tunch to get an slight injury. Just a thought!
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Morgan would be a brilliant signing! Looks like St Ledger is on his way. But if we sign the tank by the weekend, would be superb to have him before the trip to Southampton!
Vlad the Fox Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Loved des walker. He scored two of the most important goals in forests history. The first was the winner in the 91 F.A. cup final against spurs. The next came in his second spell at the club during the 2003 play off semi final with shef united. They were both in his own net. lol lol
wellyfox Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Morgan would be a brilliant signing! Looks like St Ledger is on his way. But if we sign the tank by the weekend, would be superb to have him before the trip to Southampton! Yeah but he can't play at sotton. so no real worry.
gazfox9 Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Has anyone thought WM may b a replacement for Mills? Heard a rumour that Mills was going to be dropped only for Tunch to get an slight injury. Just a thought! Just can't see that. Despite his occasional wayward passing, he has been our best defender so far this season- in terms of blocks and last ditch tackles. The problem is we paid 5 million quid for him, and consequently people are expecting him to be head and shoulders better than everyone else due to that.
wellyfox Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Mills won't go, we bought him for the long term. Well Sven did
80footgiraffe Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Very possible. As someone said earlier, the mention on their website about the bid being rejected was to prove that they tried as hard as they could. ABOUT 700k? dtsm
RedHux Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 @ red-hux. What's happened to mcgugan this season? Is he like andy king, if he don't score you don't notice him? He's always been the kind of player who blows hot and cold. He's undoubtedly very skillful but his attitude stinks and when he's sulking he might as well not be on the pitch....and he sulks a lot!
