Although Morgan is injured so it wouldn'y help to be honest i don't even know why we are going for him

Leicester have had two bids rejected as Foxes boss Nigel Pearson looks to bring the 27-year-old to the club before the close of the transfer window. The rugged centre-back is out of contract at the City Ground in the summer and no fresh terms have been agreed. Leicester have made Morgan their top choice as they look to bolster their defence, but they have been frustrated by Forest's reluctance to sell. Morgan, who has come through the ranks at Forest, has now informed the club he would like the opportunity to hold talks with Leicester as he weighs up his future. A number of other Championship sides are thought to be keen on Morgan, but the Foxes are aiming to win the race for his signature.

Saxondale Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 I can't blame Morgan for wanting to leave, the morale at Forest must be terrible at the moment. I don't rate the bloke really. Plus he'll only start whinging when he doesn't get in the side. If we need more CB cover, i'd rather we looked to either a young defender from a Premier League side's ressies or someone who's performed well at League One level and isn't going to mind sitting in our ressies / on the bench.
Callabinho Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 I don't think this is the end of SSL at all, Bamba is away on international duty and Tunchev is forever crocked, this leaves us with problems if either Mills or St. Ledger get injured. We need an extra defender.

Nickfosse Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 What makes me chuckle about FT is that I have read on other pages that we need at least 2 wingers, which would be in addition to Dyer and several who can play wide such as Gallagher, Drinkwater, and Danns, yet if we buy Morgan then someone is on their way. Given that Tunchev struggled last time out IMO that would leave 3 centre backs vying for two places if SSL or Bamba moved on. An injury and a suspension and we would look bare in that area.

He needs to be playing to do that, if he's not getting games here then he wants to go somewhere else to get it.

He will because Nige a stubborn man, it's his way or bye-bye. He only has been playing St Ledger recently becaue he has had to, if Morgan comes in St Ledger will be out the door straight away.
