I went to see them c. 1981-82 as they were playing locally, despite them not being the sort of band I was usually into........and they were great live.

A lot better than most of the New Romantic stuff that emerged around that time.....though maybe they'd have seen themselves more as high-end glam rock (definite similarities to Roxy Music's quieter songs).

Must admit I was a bit of a fan of the wets back in the day and saw them live a couple of times. Marti Pellow is a nob but he's got a great voice:

Trust me l seen a few bands, and they one of the best, Mercury describe them "like the goals going in" l feel the same way about Ian Dury and the Blockheads never seen them live.

I think they are still touring,but wouldnt be the same without Stewart.:(
