The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Could be a lot worse. I wanted someone shite at home- ie Stevenage or Crawley or a good away tie such as Liverpool or Chelsea. We've ended up with Norwich but there could've been worse- Brighton, Milwall, Bolton etc. Could well nick a win, but it'd be no shame if we didn't, as they were the best team in the league last year and are doing alright in the prem. Will be going to this, seems like theres that many wanting to go from coalville we could be hiring a 53 seater
A14 Speedcam Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Evening all, Norwich fan in peace I should imagine you'll be offered up to approx 3800 tickets for this match (allowing for segregation). Both our home cup ties have been £15 for adults this season but don't expect the same for the 5th round tie. I would imagine this will be £25 minimum - maybe even up to our normal Cat B general sale price of £35. For those of you that travel, enjoy the day if not the result

Corky Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I hope for our sake the prices are decent. With Watford and Derby either side of it then people may decide to go to those (especially Derby).
A14 Speedcam Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 £35 in the Cup. Thanks for the info though. I may be wrong but it wouldnt surprise me if they were priced high - our CE doesnt miss an opportunity to make a few extra quid! If they are priced at a level where you dont take your full allocation then we will def sell them as we have 22000 ST Holders & in excess of 10000 members & supermembers. Just hope they don't go the whole hog & make it Cat A (£45!)
Simmo86 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 £35 jeeeeez bit steep. Will only pay 30+ for Forest & Derby
Head Honcho Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Worst draw we could have had but a slight chance of an upset.
Corky Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 £35 jeeeeez bit steep. Will only pay 30+ for Forest & Derby And pay **** all for Coventry.
bluearmy7 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 definatly going be a good test for us , and damn rite we can win this it's the FA CUP for god sake ought can happen and as for the stewards fvck um lets get behind the lads we could go far in this keep the faith :city:
Poakey Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Probably to the Wednesday after the match. I couldn't make the brum home game on the sat, hopefully I can now if it's being moved.
Sods Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Not in a million years would they make it £45. For starters both clubs have to agree to changing the price and also those saying we won't take 3,800 or whatever it is will be suprised, this is the fa cup we always take numbers.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 The ticket prices have to be agreed upon by both clubs, City won't let them charge £35 because it'll harm the attendance and therefore our take of the gates. I stand by my prediction of £20.

gerrytaggart Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 But ipswich have the league title and glory years of bobby robson, john Wark etc... I imagine they are forest to norwich my grandad once told me john wark is just half a line away from john wank...sorry - now back to the norwich fa cup thread.
Dave Gavin Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Think we will put it up to them!!! They have more to loose!!! consistency is good at mo!!! They probably not feeling happy themselves drawing a team with grit!!!
PAULCFC Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 If it's £15 - £20 a ticket, then i'll go......any more than that and no,been before and that 150 miles on the road feels like loads more!
Kitchandro Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Worst tie possible really. Expected nothing else from the FA.
Ultra Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Worst tie possible really. Expected nothing else from the FA. Is it hell. We could have been drawn at Stoke, one of the London or Merseyside clubs, or a tinpot shed where we'd have had 800 tickets maximum. Or we could have spent days wondering what date and time the kick-off would be moved to. Instead we've got another decent Saturday awayday at a venue where many of us won't have been for a while. Norwich have had a decent season in the top flight, but they're not likely to take cups too seriously (hence their hiding AT HOME to Franchise) and will field a weakened side. Meanwhile, we're in the midst of our best winning run of the season, with key players (Beckford, Mills, St Ledger) finally starting to find form. Add Morgan, Delfouneso and maybe others to the mix and this will be far from the walkover some canaries may be expecting. Pearson managed Hull to victory last season and will fancy chances of a repeat. This has the makings of another Charlton 05, though it may also turn out to be another Blackburn 05. But if we catch them on an off day (as Franchise did), progress is possible.
dpjfox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 winnable yet no disgrace to go out, possible tv coverage, possible stronger squad by then (certainly Defounso would be available), we have more important games prior and post this one, but for me it will provide us with an interesting progress benchmark

Ultra Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 He's not. Villa wanted him available for future rounds, but thanks to their collapse at the Emirates today, they don't have to worry about that now.
Guy Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Marginally better than Crawley away! All to play for, we will be obvious underdogs so no pressure. We ran them close twice in the league last season too, especially at their place and that was even when Sousa was still here! We could go one better this time, even though they're clearly a better side now than they were early last season.
