FA CUP 5th Round: Norwich v Leicester

Just realised i'd also booked my train tickets for the Brum home game. Typical a 50/50 chance of a home draw went against me. More money down the drain :/

Keeps us under the radar as I'd hoped. Not an easy tie by any means but one which does offer some hope of progress. Tedious journey as others have said and hard to feel excited but if we really want to join the top flight this might be as good a time as any to make a statement of intent.

Boring Team.Boring Ground. We will lose. Not a big side or a small side. Just annoying...

It's a cracking little ground IMO...

With a great atmosphere...

Norwich decent for a night out beforehand too

And we could win!!

lol

Think of it this way. We can have a glamour team in the last 8, 4 and final. :P

You know what I'm most gutted about? I've hardly been able to make any games at all this season, and Birmingham on 18th Feb was the one I had marked down as practically the only one I would be able to get to between now and the end of the season. I had it all worked out - I had just enough time to get to the match and return in time for our other plans that day. Now it's an FA Cup day and there's bugger all chance of me fitting it in.

..yeah tell me about it. It is Half - term that week - I live in Hertfordshire - I had a mini break booked in Leicester so my eight year old son and me could watch the Birmingham match. I have booked a Hotel and bought the tickets and now it is all out the window. I am seriously cheesed off.

Im sorry to everyone who feels gutted. But living here IM ****ING OVER THE MOON! What a draw! I know its early but does anyone know if this will make members day?? i hate them so much and i fancy us sneaking it!! They are all so confident already! If we play like we have recently i fancy it! COME ON YOU BLUES!!!

Great draw for me as I live in Norfolk so I can easily get to the game. But, I would rather it had been at home against anyone else as we never win at Carrow Road and Norwich are better now than they have ever been IMO. It is the cup though so anything can happen, perhaps it’s our turn.

Serves you right for being stupid enough to book it before checking the FA cup dates.

Ok! I would rather have had Liverpool away that's all! :D Or Stevenage at home...

This game should show just how good we are. Close, or far from Premiership standard?

I can tell you the answer to that now. Far.

Also it doesn't really answer that question anyway, we played brilliant, matched and nearly beat Chelsea in the Carling Cup a few years ago, the same season we were relegated to League 1.

The way I look at it, Leicester should be at the top of the Championship and Norwich should be at the bottom of the premier league. So they're only one position above us. ;)

Shit ground, long journey, shit fans, boring game, most likely lose... so yeah ill be there.

No it's a proper mainly old fashioned football ground, Norwich are of a comparable size and fan base to city with like city have both 'good' (passionate) fans and the odd idiot. I don't get the slagging off of opposition fans. In many respects I would sooner see city in British ownership like Norwich.

So if we beat them we're suddenly Premiership standard?

It's a one off cup game which will tell us nothing about the league.

All the pressure will be on them.
