Guest Col city fan Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I'm quite chuffed to be one of only about 3 people on this thread who said we could sneak a win. Well, they are a good premiership side... But there is literally no point in even discussing it if people don't give us a hope in Hell of winning is there? It's one game, it's the FA cup and of course we have a chance!! There are some miserable gits on here!!
Corky Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 It's not just Norwich, Ipswich is a notoriously difficult place for us to go. We seem to struggle when we go past Peterborough.

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 We even only managed a draw at Cambridge before battering them 5-1 at Filbo.
Corky Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I reckon we'd do ok against Wisbech? Or Kings Lynn? We won a friendly at Kings Lynn a couple of years ago, so we're not a total disaster in East Anglia.
SaM 12 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 http://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/page/LatestHeadlines/0,,10413~2540353,00.html Burnley The third-round fixture at Carrow Road will kick-off at 3pm. Tickets prices are: adults £15, OAPs £10, under-16s £5, under-12s £1. will that be the same for us then?
tylesta Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 tottenham de vries winner springs to mind......and we have a better team at the moment. anything can happen in 90 minutes of football
z-layrex Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 One word, boring. I'm sure they feel the same. I know they're a premier leage team now but it feels like we just got another champ team because they only just went up.
Fox92 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Norwich are still a champioship team who had a lot of luck and bore others to death. No such thing as luck in my opinion. They haven't got to where they are via luck.
cairnsy Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Not the greatest of ties i think - was hoping not to get recently promoted/ champ/ low prem. Can see Norwich beating us quite easily but you never know with Jermaine "fa cup machine" Beckford
Guest Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Yeah only 17 points, which is 5 wins and 2 draws, and 8 places ahead of us, oh yeah and beat us twice, so not alot better than us.... I wish people would take the tinted glasses off and realise where we are, We are not in the mid to late 90's anymore. And they lost to teams we beat and we've just spent about 2 billion on new players. Stop being so negative. It's the FA Cup teams from lower divisions beat teams from higher divisions. Perhaps you're too young to remember Harlow and you think we can't even beat a team who were in the same division as us last season. btw supporters are supposed to wear tinted glasses, get your negative moan glasses off and support. I wonder why we even enter the cup comptetitions
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 We will probably lose this game, but it is winnable if we want it enough

I wonder why we even enter the cup comptetitions I like to call them realistic views/glasses actually. I understand lower teams can beat bigger teams, I fear some of our fans (And maybe players) think we are alot bigger than we are sometimes though, which can be a good thing, can also be a very bad thing. However I don't think that is the point I was trying to make, the point I was trying to make is the simple fact you have said Norwich weren't much better than us, the fact is they were and the 17 points, which is 5 wins and 2 draws, and 8 places ahead of us proves that, that doesn't mean for 1 second we are going to lose, of course we can beat them (Infact in my 1st post in this thread I said this is a winnable game), I am disagreeing with you that you think they weren't much better than us last season.
Simmo86 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Certainly winnable. This is Norwich we're talking about not Man City! Lets hope their players think its going to be as easy as our fans do!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I still want us to knock out Stoke at some point.
Ashley Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 This draw has pleased me to be honest, I know a few Norwich fans who over rate Norwich big time. They have a few decent players however they have been playing on confidence from both promotions. Easily winnable tie if you ask me. These Norwich fans think they are bigger than Ipswich as well
cambridgefox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I went to Carrow Road last season. We will not take 4,000. Maybe if it was at a better time, but when you've got Watford and Derby either side of it within a few days, two grounds we manage usually at least 2,000 at, then people will be more selective. As for the atmosphere? Tough one. Excluding Leeds, they have the worst stewards I've ever seen. It was a Tuesday night and Sousas last game in charge as we were shite ,still had a good laugh though.Norwich easier to get to than Leicester for me so will be going.

Very rarely see empty seats at Carrow Road (this applies even when they were in League 1), have decent away followings too.
body102 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 This isn't winnable imo. Norwich are far better than us. They destroyed us home and away last season. they may have destroyed us last season but i think now we are a tougher proposition our team last season was ; Ricardo; Naughton, Bamba, Mee, Berner; Oakley © (Gallagher 66), Abe, King, Wellens (Dyer 75); Vassell (Waghorn 57), Yakubu. so thats at least 8 diferent starters than we will have this time , maybe 9 if if mills and st ledger keep big Sol out , so how anyone can say this isn't winnable is beyond me . They are doing well in the premiership but how many promoted teams have one good season in top flight before they tumble again . Me personally think we have a good chance of progressing and if i didn't think that then i would not go.

Guest Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 But ipswich have the league title and glory years of bobby robson, john Wark etc... I imagine they are forest to norwich
jag-02 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 It'll be an interesting tie...but I'm defoo going to Carrow Road We're going to Wembley!
