Guest Col city fan Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Reading this thread, you'd think Norwich was in fvcking Mordor. Takes less than 3 hours on the train from Leicester, there are 5 or 6 teams left in the draw which are further away than that. People whinge about our draws every single time and wank themselves silly over how 'lucky' teams like Leeds are for always drawing big teams. Where are the **** they now eh? Dumped out 2 rounds ago and paid £50 a ticket on a Monday night for the privilege. I'd rather have some chance against Norwich than very little against Arsenal, Chelsea etc. Agree 100%
smallpauldj Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I can't believe how many are moaning either, yes the a47 is the worst route out of Leicester and our history in Norfolk is poor but I'd rather lose to norwich than stevanage. The pressure is on them to win and only last year we took man.city a long way with that mid table side. If we play good we can at least get a draw. Deff going to this one.
Dan Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 How many of you miserable bar stewards have actually been to Carrow Road.?It's a great old ground, we will fill our end, the ground will be full and the away fans have a decent view of most parts of the pitch. We'll make an awful lot of noise and the ground holds it in... And Norwich has got tons of pubs... The best being by the riverside on the walk down to the ground from the centre. Fookin cheer up... Not a bad draw at all... And winnable!! I went to Carrow Road last season. We will not take 4,000. Maybe if it was at a better time, but when you've got Watford and Derby either side of it within a few days, two grounds we manage usually at least 2,000 at, then people will be more selective. As for the atmosphere? Tough one. Excluding Leeds, they have the worst stewards I've ever seen.
isaidno Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 300 miles round trip by car. Should be going, made a pledge with my mates at the start of the season to go to every cup game this season,
Leicesterboy656 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 any1 know when the birmingham game will be cos of this?

Fifth round with a chance of winning and really not that far away? The A47 is usually pretty quiet and the A14 can get ya there quite easily too.. The glamour of the cup etc... Given a choice I'd far rather go to this one than bloody shitty Watford away, again...
lestajigs Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Still reckon we'll take decent numbers. Bastard stewards though! Yea I rekon we will sell out, dont no how many we will get though
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 We are two games from wembley, one being a place where the MK dons beat them 4-0 who are very winnable sideto play, get behind them!

I do think we'll have a few, and 4,000 possibly if there was nothing around it, but like I say, Watford and Derby away themselves will lower our numbers for this one. I'd love to go all three, but I'm most likely in a boat with everyone who simply won't be able to afford them all, with that being the case, a lot of people will fvck this off for one of the other two.
Jagdinho Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 any1 know when the birmingham game will be cos of this? the Tuesday following I think? Or Wednesday if the game is played Sunday.
Leicesterboy656 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 the Tuesday following I think? Or Wednesday if the game is played Sunday. Ok cheers mate hopefully on Tuesday. so I can watch tht game
foxes2011 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Dont get me rong the cup is great and i am very happy we are still in it and maybe it mite give us the power to go on a run and ignite our season. i do feel though the cup could become hard to deal with because of injuries and our squad so i dont think it would be the end of the world if we went out, but we should always play to win. For me though the league is far more important and we need to focus our efforts on getting into the top 6 then hope we get lucky in the playoffs.
acooling08 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 This isn't winnable imo. Norwich are far better than us. They destroyed us home and away last season.
FuriousFox46 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 If we lose to a big club. It's a good cup run that was understandably halted. We lose to Norwich, we go out with a whimper and have to listen to six-fingered fans dance around to that tinny goal song. Joyous.
SaM 12 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 "Weren't much better than us". They absolutely belted us at our ground, they got promoted, we scraped the top half. Oh and the draw? Complete and utter one of the worst draws we could've got. We never ever win at Carrow Road, journey doesn't bother me but it's the cost of everything as well considering we have Watford and Derby close either side of it. There's no way I'm doing all three. Well, what else did I expect. we never win at southampton but did this season

Sorta makes you feel warm inside that you have given us no fookin chance even before a ball has been kicked!!! lol

Corky Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 It's 35 miles away, it's not that near. It's 20 miles away.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I can see City pushing for £20 for non-season ticket holders even if Norwich want to be generous. Hope I'm wrong.
jonthefox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I might rope this in with a weekend in yarmouth. chuffin freezing though.
