RonnieTodger Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Gally cupped his ear towards the kop, like Dyer did against Reading last season. Obviously had it in his mind to prove the fans wrong. Good lad
HEGGSY Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 I suppose when his own fans boo him when he's being subbed, he's going to a little annoyed. Hence the celebration.
RonnieTodger Posted 11 February 2012 Author Posted 11 February 2012 Exactly. Pleased for him to do it, not that I thought he played particularly well in open play. But he can come up when required, so hopefully that's got the boo boys off his back...for now.
Matt Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Gally cupped his ear towards the kop, like Dyer did against Reading last season. Obviously had it in his mind to prove the fans wrong. Good lad So obviously booing and slagging the player off does motivate him to prove fans wrong - something i've always said (Not that I boo, I do moan and groan but only boo on very rare occasions.) but have always countered people's arguements of booing and getting on players backs that if it was me that people were booing or getting on my back it'd spur me on to do better and prove them wrong. Fair play to the lad, didn't play particularly well today - Didn't play particularly bad, he's improved from recent games, and took 2 goals, more of the same please.
davieG Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 I thought he did a decent amount of tracking back and defending today and even stole the ball back a couple of times.
Mack Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He did it at the family stand too. I noticed that. His last two performances at home have been woeful so if the crowds frustration with him spurred him on to a better performance today then I guess that is not all bad.
RonnieTodger Posted 11 February 2012 Author Posted 11 February 2012 How many penalties has he scored now? I know he's got a 100% record from 'em. So obviously booing and slagging the player off does motivate him to prove fans wrong - something i've always said (Not that I boo, I do moan and groan but only boo on very rare occasions.) but have always countered people's arguements of booing and getting on players backs that if it was me that people were booing or getting on my back it'd spur me on to do better and prove them wrong. Yojoe36 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Well done Gally. You got a free shot from 12 yards and scored!!! Shame you can't do much else.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Well done Gally. You got a free shot from 12 yards and scored!!! Shame you can't do much else. He also scored a 22 yard free kick
Bert Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Also refused to speak to Stringer, along with Wellens.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Like anything in life, he deserves the plaudits today for 2 good goals, however a few bad games again and the crowd will soon be on his back again
jonlcfc1990 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Well done Gally. You got a free shot from 12 yards and scored!!! Shame you can't do much else. Yeah good comment.
Finchy Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Fair play to him for today, but he needs to do a lot more to convince me he deserves a starting place. I'm not gonna forget how sh*t he's been for weeks because of a peno and a free kick.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He never acknowledges the fans when we play away, rarely puts in a shift and now he thinks he is great again because he's done his 2 goals in one game quota.
Yojoe36 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Yeah good comment. He also scored a 22 yard free kick
Corky Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Gallagher did a lot of work today- tracking back, getting stuck in, which has been a criticism in the past.
Fox1651 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Like anything in life, he deserves the plaudits today for 2 good goals, however a few bad games again and the crowd will soon be on his back again This
jonlcfc1990 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 I think it's most telling that Wellens and Gally refused to speak to stringer after the match they've been playing out of their skin for this last half of the season and it wouldn't surprised me if they left. If they do the people who moan and complain instead of supporting are to blame. I see a lot of "see he wanted to prove us wrong booing works" and "booing motivates players" It's rubbish all it will make them do is consider if they want to play at this club as much as they did. People need to start supporting the team at home if we would of done that at the start of this season it might of got on better. Everyone wants to dry hump SSL now but did they after Bristol? hmmm and not to mention Mills Wellens Gally Howard Beckford.
Guest parky0607 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 It doesnt suprise me really when plonkers on here create a new thread about how 'crap' he is after EVERY game. Id do it too if i was him.
Saxondale Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He played well. Aside from two goals, he put in a decent midfield shift and won possession several times. What more can you want?

Corky Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He hasn't played well in recent games, we know that, he knows that. But he did his job today and deserves praise for it.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He's been gash for a while. Scoring a pen and giving it large to a section of fans does nothing for me....
Kitchandro Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 It's a shame if players have fell out of love with the club, especially if it's because they've been getting stick from the fans. And he'll be well aware of the stick his wife was getting on Twitter too. Oh well, I suppose the fans will get their way eventually, if they complain enough.
