Bert Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He's been gash for a while. Scoring a pen and giving it large to a section of fans does nothing for me.... Indeed.
Corky Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 It's a shame if players have fell out of love with the club, especially if it's because they've been getting stick from the fans. And he'll be well aware of the stick his wife was getting on Twitter too. Oh well, I suppose the fans will get their way eventually, if they complain enough. That could well've been part of it all.
Brooksy Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He's been gash for a while. Scoring a pen and giving it large to a section of fans does nothing for me.... Same here, average player who only offers a good penalty and a decent freekick every 20 times. Wouldn't be too bothered if he left.

I would love to watch a game from this perspective it must be really boring. "so what he scored two goals that won us the game." wow indeed so what 3 points at home so what? yeah giving "most" of the fans something to cheer about so what? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I was just agreeing with Robbo. Go and read player ratings and you'll see I've praised him for what he's done today. What a clown you are.

dannythefox Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He's very good at set pieces but apart from that he shit.
Walker Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Like him or loathe him, the guy's a match winner! He can change the course of a game with his set piece ability alone- Not many players in the current crop are capable of this....
Filberts Treat Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Played better today. But seriously?? He is poor. The one bad thing about today is he's managed to hold down his place again for a while longer.
Captain... Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Like him or loathe him, the guy's a match winner! He can change the course of a game with his set piece ability alone- Not many players in the current crop are capable of this.... I think this is the best summary of Gallagher, he can and has won us games in the past, but he is a bit of a luxury and sometimes (like against Boro) we needed someone up for a fight, and that is not one of Gally's strengths. He certainly doesn't deserve the stick he has got this season considering he has 9 goals and 7 assists. and for those complaining about his celebration, compare that to being booed by a few hundred/thousand people, if you give it out don't complain when you get it back, and it was hardly malicious. What was the stick his wife was getting on Twitter?
Filberts Treat Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Twitter abuse was a disgrace... But doing a cocky celebration just for scoring a peno? Well done....
Guesty Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 I don't blame him. I'm not his biggest fan, but I'd never boo him or cheer when he gets subbed. I imagine it would annoy anyone. Then when you hear all the people that were booing are now cheering I can understand why he was making a point. I'm sure he'd probably say it wasn't aimed at all the fans just the ones that were booing him last week who are now cheering him.
Captain... Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Twitter abuse was a disgrace... But doing a cocky celebration just for scoring a peno? Well done.... I take it you didn't celebrate him just scoring the peno then? The celebration was aimed at those booing him and jeering him who are now celebrating his goal.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 PLayed well today I think. As did Wellens. Either were my MOTM behind Drinkwater
The Fox and The Crow Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 When the team are playing well and providing decent stability, Gallagher is exactly the luxury we need at times to win us games. When the team are not doing this, his weaknesses are candidly exposed.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 I'd rather have him in the squad than not have him but I do wish he would "man up" a bit and commit to giving and taking a bit of physical stick from other players. That said, whilst i have said to my mates during games that he needs to be subbed at times (which I feel is a fair comment if he or anyone else is having a shocker), I would never cheer/boo him of the pitch. Was surprised today when he was subbed off that only about 1/2 the crowd gave a standing ovation - peno and freekick they may be but he scored two goals!
leicesterisme Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Fair play to him, he's put one hell of a shift in today. Got back and forward and used the ball with more quality than he has done in recent weeks and scored a quality free kick to top it off. I've not got a problem with his celebration either, the treatment by the fans towards Gally in recent weeks when it's obvious he hasn't been peforming has been idiotic. He's supposed to be one of OUR players, we are supposed to support our players through thick and thin.

bluesbrothers Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 So wait... since the latter has put in a good run of performances now, Gally is the new Wellens, right?
leicesterisme Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Was a serious log! Sat there for a couple of minutes thinking what the fvck are you on about! My mistake.
yorkie1999 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Gally's free kick was class, but it's his corners that are annoying. He needs to whip them in with some pace because that's how you get an advantage. At the moment it's just a 50-50 ball against big defenders. So Gally's if you're reading this take note!!
